Great write up, great job! I really liked the bumper sticker on the back of the car when you picked it up, LOL.

Went with Recaro in my 80 euro alpine white on pacific blue. Not the best photo, but they go very well with the car, and comfy.

Looks like that list starts at 1984. Wonder if there are more than 37 options?
O.K. I see, M cars only.

Re: Using dual filament bulbs in the tail lights
I have these in my 1980 635Csi euro. They are fantastic! It's a great feeling to be visible from the rear in traffic. Easy matter of removing the old units and installing the upgraded units. Thanks again Andy!!

Ronnie, sounds like you need to fix the passenger door!Ronnie Wilson wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 5:09 pm Hi
My car is an 86 and I wasn’t sure if that noise was right. My drivers door does it but my passenger side doesn’t.

My 80 euro is a slick top. I'm wondering if any of the cars for export to North America had a slick top?

Re: An "On"/"Off" switch in the trunk?
My 635Csi has one just like it, but in the center console ash tray. It disables the fuel pump. Switch it and the motor will crank but no fuel to start it. My son called me late one nite, said it would not start, so I went out get it started or towed. He had flipped the switch, I flipped it back and ...

My 1980 635 windows stick up at least an inch (never measured) when they're all the way down. Makes putting your arm on the window sill kind of annoying. Previous owner said thats just the way these cars are. My rear window only goes down like 60 percent on both sides, I assume thats normal too? Ye...

That's all well and great (except a water pump for 17£, mine was $50 something and I bought the cheap one) but in the grand scheme of cars, e24's are not cheap to run. As for cars of this age, it might be in line with or cheaper than most performance cars of this age, but go buy a 1985 Honda Accord...

Brian, if you have everything sorted out, then its just normal costs involved. Gas, oil, tires. My 635 is fairly cheap to operate, gets decent mileage, not hard on tires with suspension geometry setup correctly(tires wear fairly even across the tread).
