Re: 1975-89 e24 Colors…
That's great, thanks for sharing. I do like to see compilations of the multiple colours this car works with.
But, gotta say, I was a little let down when my 212 Nerzbraun Metallic didn't make the cut.
I never thought I'd buy a brown car. How good is this!!?

You're welcome.
Keep us informed of your reupholstering work. It would be good to see what is involved, even just a before & after.

These are comfort seats - mostly flat: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/9PMAAOSweW5VNyDH/s-l1600.jpg And these are sport seats, which have prominent side bolsters and are designed to more securely hold the driver/passenger in place for the purposes of enthusiastic 'sporty' driving: https://i.ibb.co/72...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?
Drove it . It's been a long torturous summer . Long story short the gearbox we fitted would not go through the gate into reverse . Rob and Ron have been fantastic in helping me resolve it and we got there in the end ,albeit after 5 months . Full story will be in my project thread but with a new ful...

Re: The Fleet Review
When I took the photo above I had to open the garage side door so it could spotted  Good stuff :D It's an enviable collection of motor vehicles, and has been for a long time. It's great that you've been able to continue keeping such a nice array of driver's cars all these years, all in good or...

Nice work Song. I'll bet you were kicking yourself with that box cutter and the brand new paint. But you successfully fixed it up, no harm done, and the black pinstripes look good - as does the foam kit.

Agreed, those wheels are so much better.
Car looks very very clean too. No wipers!
I don't think I've seen chrome trim over the wheel arches on an E24 before. I've seen chrome guards, usually on the Series 1 cars, but not trim like yours.

Drove it!
Haven't had chance to use mine for a little while, but yesterday was sunny so I went for a quick run around town.
It went very well. Couldn't help but take a photo.

This is an old photo from when I replaced mine - there should be a bolt accessible under the carpet trim?

Re: Fire. Tragedy. :(
Very sorry to see that, very sorry for you. Tragedy is correct. Such a shame, the unexpected nature of it all. I've had fuel lines split on startup in the garage, but thankfully no fires. Thank goodness it didn't spread further. I note the firewall cover in your first pic, with CSi marked on it. Loo...

Looks like a great find, well done.
I think the Henna looks good, really suits the 79 era of that car.
Are they TRXs?
Did you get to keep the number plate?

Re: 1979 633 CSI Euro/AUS auction “MintGrun”
Gosh, that is impressive. The interior is in stunningly good condition, especially for it's age. Nice to see the old trigger action door handles, the old analogue clock and the big green defrost button, the ceiling grab handles, and the boot on that one is almost spotless. My first E24 was an Austra...

Sheesh, OEM German parts...
But I'm with you Song, it's a superior car.
