Re: Mystery Speaker Pods?

I don't think they all had a grille across the top, only the section at the sides. That top section is just a solid piece on mine. Interestingly, the side grilles on mine are positioned on the outside edges closest to the C pillar, whereas yours appear to be on the inside edge at the centre of the c...

Good on you Baders - thanks for the update and letting us know how things are progressing. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of that car out & about again. Say g'day to Vinny for me too please if you're in touch with him.

These aren't very large, but they're pretty cool and there's a ton of them.

Sounds like you've got a bit of space to fill. Print the lot I reckon.

Re: 1980 635CSi Euro

In the mean time I drove out to an E30 meet and got lots of comments about the wheels and just having a euro E24 in general. Glad to get some attention  Didn't get as many second looks 8 years ago when I bought the car. Maybe I need to upload a couple pictures of how I bought it just for f...

Re: January 2018 Catch up?

Hi Mamod I'm up for a drive sometime, dunno when though sorry. Next few weeks & up to Christmas are looking busy so don't know when to suggest something, but I'll keep thinking on it. Did you have anywhere south coast-wise in mind? When do you get your a/c done? It's a great thing in these cars when...

Re: New Pioneer 6x4" Speakers on the market

They do look nice, they don't seem ridiculously pricey, and you can't really go wrong with Pioneer. Obviously depending on how flash your head unit is will impact the quality of the sound they put out. Certainly anything will be better than what came stock, so if you're in the market for new speaker...

Re: JPS 633csi Special Order - Can anyone verify?

Interesting find Mamod, and it's developed into a very interesting thread too. $20K seems way too much to me, certainly here in the Australian market. Based on the pics & info it does look like it's a car that has been appreciated and valued by its owner, but it's asking price may depend on how stur...

Re: Legends of the Autobahn pix

Thanks for sharing the pics Bobbo. That's a very impressive array of cars. The new 8 Series and the i8 Roadster are impressive enough, but I can't imagine a show here in Australia that could also include an M1, a Z1 and a Z8 all at the same time.

That's a great looking car mate, well done. It sounds like a good find given how low the mileage is.

It'll look stunning with the Style 42s. Keep the pics coming.

Gday Jason - welcome and congratulations on the new car. It looks pretty good & tidy. Show us some more pictures when you can. And no mate, it's not just you - BMW Oz pricing is ridiculous, especially when it comes to the majority of E24-specific stuff. But the internet and postage makes owning thes...

Good stuff mate. I think the transformation between the first pic on page 1 of this thread and where you are now is a credit to you, and that car is lucky to have you! =D>

Now just remember to take care when parking nose-in at kerbs & gutters, and making your way up & down driveways. 8)

Awesome job Song. I've just caught up on the work you've been doing with the air dam and its very impressive. You've done a great job fixing it up and prepping it, and the finished paint looks outstanding. Great stuff, and thanks for sharing the progress. The colour looks stunning too. Colour-match ...

Very sorry to see this, but good to know it all seems repairable. I know from your posts how much you value this car, so I've no doubt it was gut wrenching for you when this incident happened. And it all happened quite quicky I'm sure, but I always find it really impressive how effective the ABS bra...

Re: Windshield washer nozzle location?

Some of the early models I've seen had a setup like that. Team Serco here in Australia own a 1976 633 which has spray jets through the vents rather than mounted on top. I'm not sure what year the change was made though. My old car was a '77 633 and it had the regular black nozzles on top of the bonn...

Gosh - it sure does look beautiful. In such great conditon and with such low mileage, I am glad that you chose not to sell it and are now able to enjoy it. You'll be pleased to know that I did successfully replace my cracked & faded seatbelt stems way back in 2008, although it did take me two goes t...

Hi Bob, I've had the 3M clear film on the headlights & nosecone of my car for about 5 or 6 years now. All things considered it works well. As Tommy says, its thicker & more durable than window tint. I'm pretty sure there are different thickneses of film available intended for different body sections...
