Cheers, ya read about this, close to 7L I think for a full extraction/flush...

🤔🤔 Believe me I’ve read & read..but just wished to get a definitive answer to capacity/quantity of oil required for an ATF change including the filter?
(sorry 1990 635CSI)

Wow you certainly have been on a journey...but as 'Baders' said, salvage what you can & move on... ](*,) ](*,) These cars have a nasty tendency to pull on the heart strings & before you know it you've more into it than worth/justified. Wishing you the best of luck whichever avenue you pursue...

Wow...talk about timing, haven't been on over Christmas so didn't realise you had moved her on. I am currently in similar situation ](*,) & subsequently changing my mind as what to do on a daily basis. Have my '81 628 since 2004, basically twelve years of trouble free motoring bar a faulty ignit...

Righty then...back to the saga, or lack of... My own health is up & down like a yo-yo for past number of years (MS) so I get to use the car regularly or not at all... Have been up & about all week end so making use of the car & now no gremlins. Have still chased wiring/connections/batter...

Congrats...really nice car! We all like a leather interior but to be honest your interior looks extremely well...would be no harm in keeping such stock possibly more individual than another leather interior, whatever you choose enjoy it!

This is not on my '81 628, but the father's '90 635 HL. The car will start first time, tick over nicely but when normal operating temp. is reached it will start to idle rough, as if is being starved off air/fuel & then will eventually die. The car then needs to be left for a few hours before it ...
