I bought 10 of each of the bulbs listed. So far I have only used the single filament bulbs in my E30 tail lights. I think it is a little brighter. I have a set to my mechanic and he couldn't tell the difference in the brake lights of his 190 Mercedes, but he liked it for the backup lights. I think I...

I finally got my sandblasting cabinet working and cleaned up some E32 and e34 brakes I got from eBay. In looking for some gray paint, I found some on Eastwood's site. Does anyone have experience with: http://www.eastwood.com/ew-brake-gray-aerosol-13-oz.html Reviving this thread to get more input. .....

I drove the car up in Concord when it was for sale on eBay. It drove very nice. I was concerned that the engine might not be streetable, but it was a blast to drive, and very well mannered at lesser exertions. It was a little low and required care exiting driveways and such. At the time the AC was n...

What are the disadvantages of larger brakes?

Expensive consumables

On my wife's '07 550 I get dirty looks from my wife when stopping at stop lights while she is applying makeup.

Wow! Someone should start a thread on maximum performance upgrades for the E24.

And how do you know when you have enough? (When you run out of money...)

What size wheels you do need to fit over these?

I ran a custom brake setup on my 87 635 csi for 5 years. It consisted of 4 piston Alcon Motorsport calipers with Porterfield R4S pads 20mm thick, 160mm long and 60mm wide. The rotor was an oem E31 325mm x 30mm rotor. I paired those with E34 M5 rear calipers and rotors. I also used Porterfield pads....

I don't see what is different from stock on these.

The ones I have on my car are aluminum. (and are a little dented )

Help me understand how these are different from stock, and I may be interested.

Thanks.

Any dents?
Any pitting?

Does it have the "'rubber" surround / gasket?

I am interested as mine are old and I am expecting to have my car painted in the near future.
