Re: Centre console removal

The center black section helps to keep the plug in place. Pull that straight out - it doesn't actually pull off, just out of it's current position then the green plug can be removed. Good luck

Re: WTB e12 chassis lowering springs

I have a used set of e12 lowering springs that I have never installed. I was told it lowers the car more than the H&R or Eibachs do but I have nothing to provide actual lowering levels. Send your email addy and I'll get pics to you. Thanks

Re: Engine dying in reverse?

I would check for a fuel supply issue. Make sure pressure is not dropping far below about 45psi. Also check fuel volume by measuring the fuel discharged through the pressure regulator outlet. You should get about 3 liters (from my faulty memory) during one minute of collection.

I have front and rear Pearl Beige Leather Door cards and seats in various colors. As Jay said, You will likely have to dye to match as these are leather pieces with lots of ageing. As for the seats, the mechanicals are now difficult to find so they are very pricey. PM me for info

Re: Euro 633csi 5 speed swap

You actually need a 265 as that is the only 5 speed with provision for a mechanical speedo drive. The 260 does not have a speedo drive so likely the car has a non functional speedometer.

Welcome to BC 6finger!!

Spray some contact cleaner into the switch before you remove it. Rotate several times and spray again. They're usually just gunked up inside and can be easily revived. Good luck

Try Amazon for Hella H1 and H4 lighting. Better pricing and sold in kits for even more savings. Try the link below and if it doesn't work just punch in Hella H4 in the search. Good luck https://www.amazon.com/HELLA-002850811-Halogen-Conversion-Headlamp/dp/B001G7A9YS/ref=sr_1_8?crid=2EXR5U6DSG0LC&key...

Re: Quick Question on Drive Shaft U-Joints

They need to be replaced. There is still a finite life left in them but the lubricant you provided will not last very long. Oil will vaporize quickly once back in use. Unfortunately an expensive job to replace the staked-in u-joints. Good luck

You will find several loose wires like that. The wire loom was somewhat generic to reduce mfg costs so there are extra wires in different places.

Re: instrument dials flickering

Clean all the grounds, not just for the cluster. There is a grounding group under the dash, on the bulkhead side of the intake manifold and near the battery. Check your fuse contact points also. The barrel fuses are worse than the later blade style. Poor contact will cause electrical anomalies when ...

Re: Solenoid wiring

Difficulty in seeing which posts are which. Best course of action is to take a fused +12V source and touch it to the solenoid posts. You won’t hurt anything unless the car is in gear when the starter engages. Put it in neutral first The post that causes the starter to engage is the correct one Ralph
