Re: Water in the spare wheel well.

I had much leaking which was solved by replacing with a heavy duty boot seal.

Spoiler mounting holes were a possibility but were not guilty.

Re: 23 June Bicester

Really excellent event. Like early days of Festival of Speed. Car Club did a really good job. Entry was easy (pre book only). Got to back of queue at 10.10. Was in by 10.20. Met many interesting BMW owners. There were 5 E24’s. The site has many specialist car engineers. But most exciting was a large...

23 June Bicester

I have booked tickets for this regular event which I have heard is very interesting. There is a 50% / £10 reduction for pre 1990 cars. http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/whaton/superscramble/ See this posting by the Car Club https://bmwcarclubgb.uk/events/2019/06/sharknose_collection_at_super_scramble.ht...

ACE Cafe Sharknose 12.00 Sunday 9th September

ACE Cafe have the BMW Sharknose meeting arranged for Sunday 9th September. Start time 12.00.

This will follow on from their Brighton Burn Up. A mass bike event with huge crowds. Well worth seeing.

Last year's Sharknose meeting organised by Kos was really excellent.

I have just cleared my Iphone cache and am now back to normal. Look at http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/iphone/how-clear-cache-on-your-iphone-or-ipad-3609079/ Which says 1.Open the Settings app, and scroll down to the fifth group of options (with Mail at the top). Tap Safari. 2.Scroll down again and...

Reminder - Piston Heads Sunday Service visit to BMW UK HQ will be on Sunday 17th September. Their web site states that the "Release Date" will be Tuesday 29th August. Re: Outdoor car cover recommendations?

I have owned my M6 for many years and it has always lived outdoors. Right from the beginning I have always used a Cover Systems cover. See http://www.cover-systems.co.uk/car-covers/ They last 4 or 5 years and I am now on my 4th. The main problem keeping your car out doors is UV effects on the paint ...

The later service stamps are from Calterdon BMW which is Inverness. (Miss-spelt by 4*) So obviously not seen by most of us. The earliest mostly from Manchester and then - possibly - Bournemouth.

Re: Ace Cafe BMW Sharknose Meet 12am 10th September

Bad news. It is being announced that Staples Corner Flyover will be closed all weekend on first 3 weeks September. So it will be closed on Sundays 3rd, 10th and 17th. Most of last year's E24s seem to have come from north or north east London. So it could be a pretty small group which manages to get ...

Ace Cafe BMW Sharknose Meet 12am Sunday 10th September

Ace Cafe are listing for Sunday 10th September starting at 12am a "BMW Sharknose Meet". Finishing time will be 5pm. Presumably the format will be much as last year when a large number of E24s eventually appeared. See https://london.acecafe.com/meets/?cm=9&cy=2017&ct= BTW the Brighton Burn Up departs...

Re: UK M635CSi #459 for sale.

The car owned by Bob Harper which sold for £16k in April.

It looks really nice and has his publication history. He wrote that he drove it to visit a Nurburgring event. Much more interesting story than having sat unused in someone's go nowhere collection. Rgds

Re: Ace Cafe 11.00 13th May - Anybody Going?

A good meeting at Ace Café with lots of interesting cars and nice owners. Ted Robinson, Colin Morseley and one other plus me made up a good E24 group. But surprisingly for the first time the car park was not full. There was an E39 meeting at 6pm – so they were not there during the morning. Previousl...
