Re: New member - Norwegian with 1988 m635CSI Shadowline

Congrats on having your dream car! It looks great. Regarding the seats questioned, I have identical seats in black, also non-electric, and mine is 88 European market car too. It appears correct to me.

Re: What does this mystery button do?

I was once told that the button was meant to be used by mechanics (you!) while servicing your car, as the door(s) could be left open without draining battery power. I have the same button, and as far as I remember, my previous E30ies also had it.

I inherited this Thule rack from my dad's 1980 Audi 100, while I got my first E30 in 1996. While riding alone I've always clipped both Wheels away and put the frame in the trunk under the Wheels. That's ok in both E30ies and later in the E24. Anyway, two years ago, my girlfriend said she was also go...

Congrats, that's good news! I know what it feel's like as I will stilll wait for two more years until my 1987 classic American car will be considered tax free. At the end, it's all worth the waiting. And for all non-Norwegian citizens; you can't imagine how our Norwegian tax system is based in relat...

I gave the Challenger a wash before putting her in winter storage this weekend. Then I realized it's the first time all the girls were home together. I had to snap a picture of them so please say hello to (from the left side) Tea, Cecilia and India *waving* http://www.chryslerklubben.org/roar/challe...

Thanks for your comment! It is H&R lowering springs for E28/E24. Bilstein Sport schocks were mounted short time before I bought the car and I reused them. I also threw in a front strut tower brace and all together the handling is improved a lot. Less comfort, but you can't win them all.

Those look fantastic on your car! The Nagaro centers complement the cars paint very nicely. Ride height and stance looks just right. Thanks for following up with pics to let us see the results! Jim Thanks for your nice comment :) The pics are at sunset and it seems a lot light into the wheels here....

Re: Sweet!!! Now, for tire sizes . . .

Challenger, you are going to be very limited to the tire sizes you can use with these wheels, assuming that you desire to keep the tire OD consistent with factory :-k Front: 235/45 Rear: 255/40 Any 50 series tire will simply be too tall, again in order to maintain the correct tire outside diameter ...

Thanks for good consideration about oil viscosity. I've been running synthetic 5W40 by different wellknown brands, same as other car's I own. Now I've been recommended a thinner oil for my V8 car, I'll go for 5W30 for that engine. So then I decided to read about BMW M30 oil too and perhaps go for so...

The cutoff for EU and AU purchases is on Friday. I need to get them shipped off. Are they shipped for Europe? I ordered two, but haven't seen them yet. The January girl is soon to be forgotten... They're somewhere between the Atlantic and Big Ben. Hopefully they land soon Cool, thanks for you...
