Normally I'd say order one from the dealer but I did that a few years back and one after the other had a production defect, Being too short.
It's worth a shot if they are in stock, I would hope they've fixed their issue by now.

Interesting topic, didn't know there were M6 specific ones.
Always found cold idle to be quite low on my M635 so maybe it has the wrong type in there

Re: E24 Door Lock Detailed Tear-down & Rebuild Instructions
Great video to get some insight on how it all goes together =D> My driver's door lock/cylinder made very funny noises last time I unlocked it, sounded like stuff was falling into the door and now the cylinder is spinning and half loose. At least now I have a good idea on what might have happened/bro...

Re: Is Pukar Designs Still In Business?
Welcome back, good to see you getting back on your feet - more or less - after such a pile-up of sad happenings in your life. Condolences for the loss of your father and all the hardship you had to go through, it's hard losing a parent. I still remember our chat years ago on a Sharknosemeeti...

Re: M88 M635 throttle cable wanted
That's great you have found someone to actually repair it. After my engine rebuild, we bought a new one from BMW but it turned out too short. They sent a replacement but same thing. So my mechanic logged a case with BMW as it turns out it's some kind of production error. They will investigate but wh...

Glad it's working out for you Jay!
Never occurred to me there would be a difference between front and rear abs sensors but apparently there is!

Re: location of ABS fuse M635
EDITED: I've now read the explanation of the test as you describe it (in that earlier link) and now understand the logic. So what I think this means is that you avoid a failure of something like our UK MOT by disconnecting all the sensors? Now. anyone got a source for a rear wheel sensor? I'm havin...

What a joy and inspiration to read and big thumbs up to you sir, for using these cars the way they were intended. =D> I daily drove mine for years but never managed to make epic trips like these. Once it's back on the road after a 5 year hiatus, I do plan to honor my own promises and take it on some...

Can't help with the diagrams but interested in some pictures of the components in the engine bay. How did you hook the motor cable to the throttle linkage?

Re: What's the adjusting switch pot for in the 055 DME?
Would any of those settings be useful to compensate for how different gas is these days as compared to when our cars were designed? I have a friend who did some adjustments to his AFM te compensate for lean running with modern gas (after going through the fuel injection system and verifying with a w...

Mine never had any stickers since I got the car, wondering the same for my M635CSi as I had to take out the condensor so pretty much at a loss as you are on how much to fill it with once it's all back together.

Re: Exactly how much refrigerant?
I imagine there would be a difference between R12 and R134a setups and then also between the models with a single evaporator and the models with the extra 'fridge' in the back? Would there be a difference between setups on for instance he M30Bxx, M88/3 and S38B35 given the same refrigerant and amoun...

The grills are also still attached from the inside of the engine compartment, on the backside of the side indicators/corner lights if I recall well.

I guess nobody has any experience with what I'm asking #-o Could anyone help with some detailed pictures of the cruise control components in the engine bay of an M6/M635CSi ? I'm sure there are some members with such a setup [-o< I think I'll take my chance and get the set anyway and see what's usab...

Using a M30 cruise control set on an M88/3
Hi there, I have a chance to buy a complete NOS M30 cruise control set and was wondering whether there were many differences compared to what's in an M635CSi or M6. I imagine the connection to the throttle linkage would definitely be different, probably some mounting brackets as well. Does anyone ha...

I installed one years ago when they were still affordable. Worked fine for a while, then eventually went back to red lights (from all green) which were impossible to reset so never bothered in the knowledge that at least I didn't have to worry about leaking batteries anymore. Still have a plan to ta...

Re: M635 no spark - so confused, help!
You can program a code in the obc to prevent the car from starting. I would imagine something wonky in that circuit could also cause some very erratic behavior.
Ignition switch can also cause some serious trouble.

Beautiful car for a very correct price! Good luck with the sale!
It seems to have the M88/3 engine instead of the expected S38B35 in US M6 models ? (judging by the valve cover and the idle adjustment screw on the intake)
