Re: mud flaps

Here's what I did a while back https://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=162070&hilit=mudflaps#p162070 Mock them up in cardboard to get the shape/ style you want The other thing to do is cover the fender lips and lower panels below the trim line with clear 3M film. A lot of Porsche guys do this.

Great video, but I think the Cunningham BMW video of the '89 La Carrera classic may be the best POV ever. https://youtu.be/e5YxcDAB3JE?si=-8gwjs7V1QQjrBq5
Amazing long stint of flat out high speed driving. Not sure I would want to be along for the ride though.

Aren't these the recommended stock spark plug for your car? Check on RealOEM or your handbook if you have one.

Re: Retorqueing Cylinder Head as a General Practice?

There's a very specific 3 step torquing procedure when rebuilding engine, the final one an angle torque after fully warming then that's it. It would be very unwise to disturb things unless you were intending to pull the head.

Re: Arghhhh! Found that Heater Core Has Been Bypassed!

I replaced mine as a matter of course when I rebuilt the engine a few years back, so engine and box out and time not an issue. Did over 3 weekends. Seats, glovebox, under dash cover and centre console out, radio and hetaer panel out. Didn't disconnect the bowden cables as they looked like a minefiel...

Re: Favored Part Suppliers

Depends what you're buying and weather you want OEM, aftermarket or modified/motorsport.

I've found the following to be good in the past, listed in order of spend, but not so much in the last 5 years.
  • Korman Autoworks
    Pelican Parts
    Wallothnesch
    Turner M/S
    Arizona Autohause
