Re: Car in S.Wales

Back on eBay for the past three days, seven or so to go. Currently bid up to £1440 which is amazing, taking into account the vendor’s detailed and honest description. I can still see it fetching more than £2k :-k

Re: 1986 M635 UK

Price was reduced to £11,995 last week and was withdrawn from eBay yesterday so I guess it’s been sold. How long before the new owner posts on this forum, or it appears with a dealer asking £30k+ :-k

I can’t understand why this would only be a problem in reverse though
Maybe because in reverse you don't rev the engine, but let it go back either at tickover or low revs? Does it drive forward @ tickover without the same problems?

I was thinking the same as Ralph! Sounds as though you may have a blockage or poorly performing pump.

Bilstein B6 - but which part numbers?

Hi Guys,

Need a little help here. Looking to fit B6s front and back, but there appear to be several part numbers available for the same car - or am I going mad?

Has anybody recently fitted them to a S2 car and if so, do you have the numbers please?

TIA :-)

Re: UK M635 CSI - pricing

Prices seem to be all over the place at the moment. Whenever I see a UK car for sale I list it on here, as do other members - so you could look through to get a feel for the asking prices (and sometimes sold prices are posted). There's no doubt that the ones with good bodywork/paint, cam chain chang...

I liked it as well - apart from the interior colour. The wheel arch flares (weren't they called "IMSA arches"?) really suit it!

Maybe its not generating enough pressure at low revs?

Re: Power to weight ratio....

You could replace the power seats with non-electric examples. Some chap was trying to sell GRP front wings over here a couple of years ago which were meant to be 50% lighter. But why bother?

Re: A/C Blowing - Speed Dependant

I'll make 2 guesses. 1- At idle the alternator is not feeding enough juice for the fan load. 2- More likely the fan is not working and outside air at speed is giving you the flow of air thru the vents. Top vent is outside fresh air only. Center, left and right vents are AC connected. that's all I g...

I can see where he gets his pricing from - didn't the front and reared red car from last year (or the year before?) reach 5 figures with an engine that hadn't been turned in 10 years?
Was that the one in Dagenham?

Re: Niki Lauda 1949-2019

A few years ago, mid-morning on a Saturday, on a coach transfer from an airport to an Austrian ski resort I happened to look out of the window as we were driving through a small town. I saw Niki Lauda about to get into the driver's seat of a shiny new black Mercedes panel van. I remember he was talk...

Re: 1986 M635 UK

#255. The vendor appears to be pretty accurate in his description. The MOT history supports his comments. Looking at the engine rebuild receipt, it would appear that the job was done for a pretty decent price (£2508) considering that the chains, tensioner and guide rails were replaced. I would be sl...

So far this Spring I’ve killed six queens. All inside the house. That’s 6 less potential nests around my property 😉. Then I had a Google search for the number of queens produced each Autumn per nest. One article said “up to 1,000”. I don’t know why I bother ☹️
