Well, he did, DFW :-?

While that means something if you live in the states, probably doesn't help you guys in other parts of the world =;

DFW = Dallas/Forth Worth, which is Texas \:D/
I don’t see “DFW” anywhere in his post.....

Anyway, I just wanted to beat Ron to it 😉

Re: Two manual 635's

A 24-year-old printout! I made the mistake of buying an E24 some years ago on the basis of an old dyno sheet. Of course, once I got it home and had a good look at it, I realised that all the “enhancements” had been removed some time before and all I had was a lowered, but bog-standard coupe with a c...

Both sides, just sitting loose in/on headliner.

Anyone know what these are?

Thanks,

E24 auto sells for £9,350 at CCA

With 90k on the clock, this 1988 car with some recent expenditure (but nothing outrageous) and TEN former owners! I think that this sale gives us a good idea of genuine prices achieved in the UK.

AUD$ 70k seems rather expensive for a “recreation”, doesn’t it? Or have I got it wrong :-k

Hi Ian, Ken’s correct - there are two pumps as he describes. However, not all Euro cars had the in-tank pump, although I think all the “M” cars did.

Think I would take the Zender front air dam and license plates and call it a day [-X .......and the air deflector and wheels! Seriously though, I remember not too long ago when E9s could be bought for this money in similar condition. Now, when offered, in any state of disrepair, the bidding goes of...

If your car is that good, surely the only way to go is the collectors cars auction route? Yes, it's that nice. What auctions exactly? BAT is one, what's another good one? Thanks! Sorry old chap, I’m from the other side of the pond - so I cannot advise where😕. However, having watched some of the US ...

Ha ha. Still no MOT. Still with crap front bumper. However, the dealer’s web site doesn’t show it, so maybe it’s been sold on? I wonder how long before it resurfaces :-k

Re: Engine Died when put in Drive

You need to go back to basics and find out why you have no spark. There is a great deal of advice on this forum if you search!

Have you checked the two sensor leads which go to the gearbox? Sometimes the connectors to the loom need to be disconnected and cleaned.

The days of buying a cheap E24 -runner or not- have long gone. This is exactly what happened to the E9s twenty years ago.

I went to one of their auctions a couple of years ago. The E24 I was interested in was not accurately described and in my opinion, the quality of most of the stock there was poor - so maybe these two made as good a price as they were worth :-k I wouldn’t waste my time going to another of their aucti...

If you’ve got the alternator off, why not change the two mounting bearings? They will eventually wear and cause the alternator/pulley to move out of line.

I wonder how many times Ron has posted that exact same message? I presume he just cuts and pastes😉
