Re: UK M635CSi #500 fs on eBay

.......and it’s still with them! I wonder why it hasn’t sold immediately? Obviously the high mileage doesn’t help, but it makes me wonder if there is anything else wrong with it (why didn’t ML front it?). Has anybody been to see it?

Thinking about it, I don’t recall ever having a manual car with CC - I wonder if you really need it anyway?

Me too! Only been driving 43 years though - so I guess I must be the youngest! Nice to be able to say that at my advanced age.......😉

Re: Can anyone identify these seats? 1978 633csi British Model

You could remove the back seats and see if there’s a build sticker in there. I wouldn’t have thought they are original, but if the rear seats fit, who knows? Must be from a Beemer I reckon.

Re: Wanted: Front bumper ends (bellows) for my '87

Should add that I need them for the '87 and back diving board bumpers. Unfortunately the 88-89 bumper ends won't work. Would be great if I had a world bumper setup as they'd never need replaced. I'm in the Louisville area. All 3 6's I've had over 22 years each had this rusted on the inside problem....

Re: How many left 2018 UK?

Of course we have to make allowances for those cars which have been exported, but are still alive. Also those which are either dead, but still SORN-ed and those which have been parked up for so long that they have never been! There has been discussion of one in Malaysia(?) and I know for a fact that...

Re: BMW original paint - need advice!

Just thought I’d update my post. I decided to go over the whole car with primer filler to get a better finish. Took the risk and didn’t bother with isolator- and got away with it. No reaction and got 6/8 coats of colour laid on the other day. Bad news is that the “non-bloom” thinners bloomed 🤬. But ...

Insert the key and pull out at an angle of 45 degrees. Always works for me😉

Bosch specify the latter for '86 onwards, so why not follow their recommendation?

Re: Where can I get seat covers?

Looking at the web site, they state the covers are genuine hide - and let's face it, they are not expensive. Since they offer to send a swatch, what's there to lose? If you have a high mileage DD which needs new covers, these look like a cheap option.

Just my 2c

Can you provide photos?
You can take it from me that it is as described. It is a standard Highline electric sports interior.

No doubt any potential buyer will wish to view in person, so I don't think I need to post a series of unnecessary images :D

Great new tool for dropped nuts (!)

You know the way that the front top nut holding the rear shock assembly always falls down in front of the tower when you're trying to lift it out after undoing it.................

This worked a treat

Hey Pod. This £4k retrim you refer to.
Do you know who did it, what the work was like and how satisfied the customer was?
It was an M635CSi, advertised and sold on ebay sometime earlier this year. I think it was a Green car? We discussed it on this Forum.

UK Full Highline Black Leather Sports Interior (Electric) for sale

Point being is that at the right price, tyhis should be bought if even to be put on the shelf to use in a complete future rebuild. it is a rare enough item .

An engine should have a complete rebuild around it.

I’m going by what the VIN number states. A check of the VIN through BMW VIN Decoder, as well as my local BMW main dealer, says “Shadowline kit” which I am assuming is the Shadowline exterior trim? Please correct me if I am wrong.

What are the last three digits of the VIN?
