This car is still available. If it is as described and pictured, I cannot understand why it has not sold!

Re: Rear window only goes down, never up
I'd say it is definitely a wiring issue.

Re: Unknown connector & wire
im like 99% sure that is a reference sensor wire, should be 2 of them. Ask him if the car will even start, and if it starts will it run for more than 5 seconds.. if that's the case then its a reference sensor there is 2 coming from the trans bell housing. one controls spark (no start if its bad) an...

Re: Parcel shelf fastener question
There are a number of those white clips, but the shelf can be difficult to prise up, especially at the back edge. You'll probably damage most of them, but they're readily available on ebay. The main thing is to avoid damaging the 'cardboard' base of the panel where the clips locate, so probably bett...

Great idea!
Reminds me of the old trick of sticking push-rods through a piece of cardboard

UK M635CSI FS ebay
Asking £69,990. 1987 Shadow Line in Black. Lovely looking motor, but mileage pretty high (131,234) for such a price IMO. Been up for sale for a while now. I think the other one in white looks a much better buy, but that's not gone yet! Has anybody been to look at it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20466...

Re: WTH? parasitic battery drain coming from main relay?
Maybe you could try substituting a ‘known good’ ECU in your car. I have found that this often helps and will at least confirm whether or not the problem is with the ECU which could have a dry soldered joint causing intermittent faults?
Good luck!

UK M635CSI FS, only £27,450 asking!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395192923787 Well here it is. I didn't think it could be the real thing, considering the asking price. It wouldn't have been the first time a 'dealer' mistook an ordinary 635 for an 'M'. However, the engine's there, as is the rear battery box, so I reckon it must be the re...

FS UK M635CSi #515 & #411 on ebay
Well, the late car looks to be the best of the two for £23,495, but a massive 167k miles. The 1986 has apparently much more work needed, but only 108k miles and asking £15,995. If I had the funds, I would go for the Highline, if only due to the fact that it is such a late motor. Both with the same s...

UK M635CSi for sale (early car) £32k.
Seems to need some work, according to the description. Reg. B402 CMP. Mileage declared at 61k.Looks like it may be Reseda Grun? Asking £32k. I’ll post more when I’ve had a chance to search for details in the database.

Re: WTH? parasitic battery drain coming from main relay?
I’m away from home at the moment so cannot post a photo. The way I found out my problem was by comparing the relay to one in another E24 I own. Maybe you could find another E24 and look at that? Good luck

Make sure you have the correct relay fitted. I had a similar problem which I eventually diagnosed as that. Everything worked OK, but the battery kept going flat!

Re: Rear leak.
There is a rubber sealing part on the lhs firewall which various cables run through. The sealing compound can dry up and let water through.

Yours must be one of the highest mileage E24s out there!
I have a feeling I’ve read of a similar problem to what you have fairly recently, so maybe a troll through the threads will give you a solution?
Good luck!
