Getting my M635 back in the road
I’ve owned this one for around 25yrs but took it off the road when the rolling road smog testing came into use in CA. It ran great but NOX was high. So it’s been resting in the garage for many years. Re: OBC - some functions work, others do not
My 85 m635 has the loose green plug too. I guess it was not plugged in? I am trying to fix my odo and speedo. It was intermittent and now dead. I pulled it all apart cleaned and reassembled. No joy yet. On to the 2nd try.

M635 smog repair
I'm looking for recommendations for a Ca. repair shop that can repair and smog my euro m635. Has high NOX readings but runs great with 100k mi. I'm pretty sure a good vintage BMW shop could do it but there are few experts left it seems. I talked to Dinan and Turner and they were completely useless. ...

It allows for mixture adjustment and timing adjustments to compensate for different fuel qualities.

Re: M635 and CA Smog cert
I'm told to get an 079 ecu. I assume that would be one from a USA version M6??? Anyone have an extra or recommend a source?

M635 and CA Smog cert
Has anyone been able to pass the California Smog check with a stock federalized M635?
Just curious if it is possible before I throw a bunch of $ at it.
Thanks!
