Re: 17" Tire Suggestions for e-24 Euro

May be a tough fit on the front, I'm not sure. You will rub at full lock and the tires will be stretched, but 225/45/17 should be your best bet.

Re: Swapping 86/86 sport seats into 88/89 car - anyone done it

It should be possible. The big difference may be if it has the memory or not. I imagine that will mean slightly different connector, but wire colors may be the same between the two.

Thanks guys! Mileage shows only 117K, so overall it is somewhat low miles even if it has sat outside. 1981 635CSi - Ascot Grau

So a couple of years ago I stumbled upon an early euro 635 a ways outside of Denver. After some back and forth I ended up looking at it and eventually purchasing it. It was actually a one owner car, the owner's dad had bought it new or very close to new and then imported it in to the US (Fred Mintur...

Decided on a way to share some family news: http://drive4corners.com/wp-content/usergallery/hashtag/60249853.jpg Should be a busy fall for us! The 635 started up and ran to be able to get the photos, but sputtered close to home. I got it running again to get the photos, unfortunately after 5 restart...

Any of the three gearboxes should work as long as you have the driveshaft and shift console to match.

Re: 1980 635CSi Euro

I got a new ICU and it seems to be working properly. Need to drive it more to tell for sure, but I'm hoping that was the cause of my stalling issue last fall. I also believe that the oil weight was too thick for the cold weather, causing the oil blowout. Just something to keep in mind when I try to ...

Re: "Banana" inlet manifold.

I think the e21 intake runners on M30 intake give more torque and less hp. The M30 already makes good torque, so I do not believe it is a great upgrade unless you are doing other engine work. https://web.archive.org/web/20040405195345/https://www.firstfives.org/faq/e21_intake/320_runners.html https:...

Could be the automatic neutral safety switch relay that is preventing the starter circuit from being completed.

Re: Bilstein Shocks for sale

These shocks aren't meant for lowering springs, the B8/sport shock is what you would have preferred. But if you didn't like the ride, don't get the B8's as they are valved the same, just shorter overall height for adequate travel with lowering springs.

Are you sure it isn't from the oil pressure sensor? Does the M6 have a duck gasket that could leak?

Re: 1980 635CSi Euro

With warmer temps, everything seems to be normal as far as oiling is concerned. However, the main item I wanted to test was the ICU overheated or something to do with overheating of the distributor as described to me by guru Dave Stackhouse. I had the car idling and got it warmed up before shutting ...
