Note that Mark is the tangs marking from the opposite end.

The tangs sit on opposite sides when installed together, leaving imprints on the opposite faces.

Each bearing should have the tangs sitting in the groove and they should each be opposite each other when installed.

Good news! I put the later oil cooler housing on the car and no more leaks! It is smaller diameter and has a small drain fitting from an 81 635 or 735 and uses the o41x filter.
