Re: 633csi starts then stalls, nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I would like, for the sake of elimination, that the CSI fuel line be disconnected and the electrical connection to the valve be disconnected, then several starts attempted. If it fires more than once, it's not the CSI. Pressure after one start would be nonexistent, and fuel wouldn't get past the inj...

Re: 633csi starts then stalls, nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I've seen many people say the car could be firing on the cold start valve but not the main injectors, however I disconnected the fuel hose from the cold start valve in order to test fuel pressure and it still starts up then dies. I think it's significant that it still starts and dies with no fuel t...

Positive for Kurtamine

He was very busy, so sometimes slow to reply, but he came through on the sale of the OZ Racing wheels. He was forthright about the minor damage that was done when removing the old tires. He included some nice "extras", too. Packed everything VERY well and shipped in a timely manner. I am happy with ...

Why not fix the bracket you have? Any competent weldor with a TIG machine could stitch that back together.

Re: How many of you are hams?

My wife has threatened to toss all my equipment if I don't get it out of the living room (I'd like to see her lift any of it! This stuff is HEAVY). I must admit, it's gotten a bit out of hand.... ham gear.jpg So I've decided to buy myself a "ham shack", a 10x18 prefab building. I'll finish the insid...

Welcome to the group. It sounds interesting, but you really need to tell us more about the car (mileage, condition, etc.) and post LOTS of pictures, especially of the underside so we can look for rust.

Update 8/30/2019

They did the six-month CT scan and blood tests a little early. Clean bill of health, praise God! Doctor said "see you in six months!"

And my wife is making good progress with her rehab from knee replacement surgery and recovery from those pesky blood clots. Things are good.

Re: Fuel pressure question - 1988 635csi

I should probably mention that the fuel pressure has dropped down to ZERO after about 1.5 hours. I don’t believe that is normal. Nope. you are correct. It should hold pressure for several hours if not overnight. The check valve is leaking. Shouldn't do that with new pumps. It also makes me wonder a...
