It's in his profile on the left of his posting. If you're looking at it on your phone, you won't see it.

Re: Gonna be gone for a while

Update: After the first round of chemo, I went back for a checkup before the second round starts, and they found another polyp. Tiny little thing about as big as a ball point pen tip, but it's right next to where the previous tumors were removed. I go for pre-op tests on the 23rd (next Monday) and I...

Re: What do we do about Photobucket??

There is an add-on to Chrome that defeats the lock-out. Search "photobucket" and the link will come up. This points out why it's probably best to upload pictures accompanying articles directly to Bigcoupe.com. If they're lost due to server problems, there's a good chance they can be recovered, but w...

Re: Craftsman Multimeter

Wish we still had a Sears nearby! I'd grab one! I take advantage of the coupons at Harbor Freight to get the free DMMs with any purchase. I have a bunch of them, because I'm forever setting them down somewhere and the can't find them. Eventually they turn up and get used and then moved and set down ...

You are absolutely right. I was so traumatized by those fashion disasters, my mind even shut out remembering the correct name. #-o

Pretty odd that you hear it with either fan on. The AC fan and heater/defroster fan are separate units.

Personally, I think a fire extinguisher should be standard equipment in all our vintage vehicles. It might be the difference between replacing a few hoses or wires, and disposing of a burnt out shell.

Re: Starter Help - 3 Questions

Lee, go to your trunk tool tray and fetch the 17/19mm box spanner. It works a treat on the upper bolt WITHOUT having to remove the intake, but also is dandy for the lower one, too.

If you already tried that, a wobble extension works, but it's a pain to thread it in there.

Re: Clutch & Shifter Questions

Mike, there's no adjustment. Bleed it and see if it helps. Even if it doesn't, you'll know you have that off the possibles list.

Re: Clutch & Shifter Questions

Nope and nope. The release point should be about halfway, like you've experienced before, and it sounds like the clutch isn't releasing. Could be throwout bearing, could be insufficient slave cylinder travel. Try bleeding it before anything else. May be something as simple as a little air in the line.

According to State of Washington emissions website, apparently not, since it's exempt from smog checks:

"Certain motor vehicles are exempt from smog checks in Washington at this time. These include: Motor vehicles less than five years old or more than 25 years old."

Pardon the observation, but this thread that was started in November of last year for a January 2018 get-together has now moved all the way to mid-May? I'm wondering if it will happen before NEXT January rolls around. I hope you guys get it done soon. Turning on to winter down there, isn't it?

Re: Fuel Pump Question

Boggie, yes, two pumps. A low pressure, high volume "lift" pump in the tank, and a high pressure, low volume external pump. Unless you're a purist, do yourself a favor and replace the two-pump system with one Walbro in-tank pump.

Re: 1984 633CSi Rises again!

We have a couple of those folding cup holders on our model railroad layout, but we didn't trust the double-stick tape, and screwed them to the facia. I'd never thought of using them in the car! I have the exact same console cup holder in my E30. Works great. It's been in there for several years and ...
