Re: Suspension replacement

When I've removed the steering arm bolts a little heat helps. Most I've removed in the past have some type of loctite product on them. I've removed with out heat and have never broke a bolt but it's not worth the trouble if you do. Get out the Torch. As for installation; I'll run a tap through the s...

Re: 85 euro m635csi - my project

You are welcome. I'll try to get it all together and documented as best I can. As for the exhaust cam sprocket, I could not find one new. I tried all outlets in US and Europe. NLA And about the Single chain, Jim Rowe at Metric Mechanic said it's not a bad thing, he had converted to single row on som...

Re: Tired of lowered car

I would go for the Stock springs and HDs. Or Msport springs if you can find them.

Maybe a taller tire and smaller wheel may smooth out bumps too. 16" wheel and 225/50 or 205/55 tire.

Re: 85 euro m635csi - my project

Process con't. I emailed a couple guys that have done this process with the head on. Only way to remove the lower guide is to cut it. Cleaned up the gasket surfaces and removed the alternator and AC compressor brackets. Make sure the Engine is TDC... And lock her in... I used one of these on the fly...

m30/s38/m88 Oil pump concerns

I ran across this article while looking for an oil pump rebuild tutorial.

Has anyone had any issues with M30 oil pumps and rebuilding them?

Re: 85 euro m635csi - my project

The crank at the hub has some scoring but nothing too bad. As for the lower guide that's a good question about cutting it. That seems to be the only way to get it off without removing the head. In both these threads the person had to cut the guide. - http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=133139&p...
