Re: 85 euro m635csi & m88/3 timing chain - my project

Slipped on the lower guide over the chain. Had to remove the upper pin and bend the guide to get it on. Then rethread the pin and tighten.

Don't forget new E clips on the pins... I found and old one in my oil pan.

Re: 85 euro m635csi & m88/3 timing chain - my project

This is some stellar work and possibly even better documentation. Thank you very much! Sounds like I need to find a machinist for the lower chain tensioner. Do you know how the guy determined how much to remove? Did he measure the old one and match it or just use the pin as the guideline? Could you...

Re: 1988 M6 for sale

May want to check your asking price. Market for these in the US are not quite there yet. I wish they were.

Examples... https://bringatrailer.com/search/1988+m6/

I would include more pictures and detailed maintenance records. My .02 cents..

Keep an eye on the e24 shark and e28 group in Facebook I see sport seats on there quite often.

Manual sport seats in the US are even harder to find... most US models had power sport seats. FYI

I had to have a local Machine shop take some off the new part with a End mill (Thanks Lee!, at Cape Starter & Alternator). It was cheap but another step the shouldn't n...

No LPG cars in the USA. Or very very rare that someone imported or created. I think warehouse forklifts may run on LPG, maybe a lawmower. You have Gasoline or Diesel. In the rural US where I live there are no emissions inspections either. Only a safety inspection every two year to make sure your sig...
