Re: Radiator Hoses Sucked Up after Drive
I think you ordered the correct part. The expansion tank cap should be letting air into the tank when the system cools.

One more photo to add. Everyone took off quickly from the road turnout on Highway 41 -- except for me.

It was nice meeting you at the PSF. Glad that you were able to attend.

Re: No Power, Running Super Rich
After considering all you have been through with your engine problem, it is becoming clear to me that you really need to concentrate on the injectors. Considering all of the parts your mechanic has thrown at your car without results, new injectors would be a very minor expense. I changed the injecto...

2023 Pacific Sharkfest
This year we chose another location for the Pacific Sharkfest. Home base was Oakhurst, CA. A tour was organized around Bass Lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills on Friday. Friday Drive.jpg The Saturday drive was to Yosemite National Park with a stop at the historic Wawona Hotel. Yosemite-Wawona.jpg A...

Re: No Power, Running Super Rich
Since this car was sitting for a long time, it might be possible that one or more of the injectors are stuck open. That could certainly cause the symptoms you are experiencing. I know you said you tested the injectors.

Hi Steve, I know it's a tough decision to part with you M6. I know this car was given great care by you, and whoever does get it will have a gem. I agree that BaT would be a good venue to reach a large number of fellow enthusiasts, especially if you can put together the volume of photos that are exp...

I suggest you check the caliper piston and housing for corrosion. I had a similar problem, and cleaning the stuck piston cured it.

Re: What do you think the best looking rims are for the shark?
I also like the original wheels but was not impressed with the rather dull factory color, especially with a black car. I removed the grey paint, painted the wheel gloss black, then polished the rim, center section and radial fins on my 635CSi. Did a similar thing with my M6. That produced the origin...

If my memory serves, the horn contact was a part of the BMW center emblem. I notice that you did not install it.
No recollection about the turn signal cancellation.

Re: Talk me out of this road trip.
As the lucky owner of two low mileage 6ers, I sometimes get apprehensive about taking my cars on longer trips too. I don't think the age of our cars is overly important. The thing to remember is that the mechanicals in our 6ers are the same as the 5 series and 7 series cars of the same era. That bei...

This car was listed for sale in the Roundel by Cliff Rickmers in December of 2016. The mileage then was 84,284 and the car was in Washington state. He was asking $25,000.

SOLD - Nardi Steering Wheel & Shift Knob
PO had installed these on my '88 M6. Both are in very good condition. The steering wheel is 360 mm. It has fine splines, that should be compatible with cars produced after 9/1985 Asking $300 + shipping for both.

The host hotel is the historic Paso Robles Inn, telephone (805) 238-2660. Be sure to mention the Pacific Sharkfest. Although the time window for our room block is expired, I am told they may honor our negotiated room rate. If you are planning to attend, we recommend that you secure lodging in Paso R...

I have a spare instrument cluster housing with a good clear cover. If you are still looking, send me private message and I can send you a photo. It would also seem that the E23 and E28 share the same instrument housing. A check on Real OEM should confirm that. I think the one I have came off an '88 ...

Hi Georgi,
I have a wooden Nardi Steering wheel that was installed on my '88 M6. It has the fine splines, black spokes. It should work for your car. If interested I could post or send you photos.
