I had the centers and the lips cleared when I had mine refinished a few years ago. I kept the car for another 2-3 years before I sold it. Never had any problems with the clear, but it was a summer only driver. But the guys at Wheels America, that refinished the wheels, guaranteed the clear for life....

Jose - when I ordered my matts the first set were wider than the footwell. They claimed the wider matts were from an E24 Euro template. Not sure I believed that, but they said they had another E24 template that was more narrow. The 2nd pair fit perfect. FYI

I ordered a set from these guys and was very pleased. They have the e24 pattern AND they have the ///M logo to stitch in if requested.

I ran a SuperSprint for about 3 years and loved it, and got regular compliments. It's made to bolt up to a stock M88 manifold. I had to modify it to connect to the S38 manifold (2 versus 3 bolt pattern). Would highly recommend!

Helping an aquintance sell an 82 628CSI

VIN WBAEA810GC8160001. Build date 2/82. What else will help to determine if this is an e12 or later e28 chassis build? 82's were the transition year. What would be other tell tail signs? Carburation and electronics are others, but the seller isn't all that knowledgable about this car and I'm remote....

You guys have probably read this elsewhere but I can document that on my 88 M6, the hood shocks are of equal length, and the the fender brackets that receive the bottom of the shock are in the same location on each of the fender channels. Receivers both are covered by factory paint and have never be...

I put a Supersprint on my 88 ///M a few years ago. It comes with a Euro flange that needs to be swapped out for a US flange (one is two bolts the other is three, but I don't remember which). Everything else bolted up nicely. Good sound no drone. Others have spoken well about Ireland Engineering.

This past spring I sold my 88 ///M with 76K miles for $24K. Not sure if that's a good benchmark or not. Mine was visually as good/better as this 87 and had absolutely zero rust and no issues. This 87 looks like a fair deal if the PPI comes out clean.

Most everyone on this forum is more mechanically inclined than me, but back in the day if you gotta drop the trans you're probably cleaning up the entire mess - the clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing and probably shift linkage while your at it.

I have the same problem, mostly when cold. Wrench says likely a warped clutch plate or pressure plate that won't allow complete disengagement when stopped. When really bad I just get rolling in 2nd.
