WELL HELLO Scott!

Glad to hear you’re still kicking and still have that beautiful euro!
Hope to see you at some point. Maybe next PSF which may very well be in your neck of the woods!
Pat is scoping things out .

Yes , that was my goal and it works. Once install banjo caps you will never have to remove them to install cover or change tires. Once they are on, they on!

Re: Now you see ‘‘em now you don’t

As we know the rims do not support any kind of cap that fit and will stay in the opening.
As trying several different options settled on these sturdy black banjo caps .
Used 3M super trim tape to underside after prep n paint .
Don’t have to be removed ever.

Re: Those pesky squirters II -revenge of the squirter...

Thanks, yes I guess it makes sense they be closer to squirters, if not,I’d be running four lines up thru the hood.
Not sure if these are even that necessary as my M6 was born without them but since I’m redoing the setup, what the heck.
I’ll post back once all together to report.

Re: Those pesky squirters II -revenge of the squirter...

Anyone?
Purchased two OE valves and want to put this chore behind me. 61661355299

Where would these valves go along the line? Closer to tanks or closer to squirters?
Per post above question: would each valve have a feed to each squirter?
The xx299 is one feed in two out.

Re: Those pesky squirters II -revenge of the squirter...

Installed new OE squirters after OE ones broke while disassembling for paint. Don’t remember if both worked prior but one does not work now so in process of redoing system . According to Brucey diagram one hose from each tank, main and intensive ,goes to a valve then splits to each squirter, one hose ...

Finally completed my Alpina 17 Wheel project.
Wanted it both ways , now I got it. :D
Can go either way without removing wheel or the black cap.
Low profile enough for cover to go over without removing it.

Re: Wheel decisions?!?!!

I would be interested on what people are using for centre caps for their converted 17" Alpinas? I’ll let you know, it I think I have a solution that will allow me to just mount covers when want to without removing anything. Hats will be lower than originals so that can happen without dismount.

Re: Sunroof headliner reinstall

AWESOME,
Got it!!!!
I wasn’t seeing the channel the roller slips under. That did the trick.
From tilt position got the rollers under the channel then pushed it forward as much as it would go. Dropped the tilt n powered roof back a bit and clips were lined up.. pressed fit… DONE

Thanks

Re: Paint single stage or clear coat

If you don’t like the looks of a car with base, clear. It’s easy just go single stage. If you can find somebody who knows what he’s doing. I just went thru this with my Zinno M6 ,but decided base clear upon advice of shop. Wanted a clear, deep / no stipple finish. Not disappointed. Easier maintenance...

Re: Sunroof headliner reinstall

I always found this job an absolute pain - maybe it's easier on the late cars, but I ended up trying a different approach which was to tilt the sunroof all the way up. Looking through the gap, you can see the rollers that allow the trim to tilt up at the same time as the lid, too. It's pretty easy ...

Thanks for ideas but as it turns out not needed.
Went into back seat to get third brake lite in and found a baggie on floor.
Yep, wiper nuts and spacer :D :D
I can only assume paint shop removed them n put them back there.
Wipers all set.
