Ron, I believe they are still available new
Tried that. Problem is the part # is the same for all years and you get the later version with the flat sockets.

Hi Ron,I have one of these Chargers and it says before you connect it to the Battery it should be turned on. I have a permanent connection to the Battery so i can just plug it straight into the Charger.
How long have you had it connected Ronnie?

Re: CTEK battery charger.

Thanks for the reply Chris. Have you left the charger connected and switched on all the time? I had one connected to a car in my garage which was fine for a couple of years but when I tried starting it about a month ago, the battery was flat. So I've now had 3 units that have played up. Be interesti...

CTECK battery charger.

P1020939.JPG I've got a couple of these chargers which have been on vehicles in storage over the winter. I thought this charger could be left on constantly to keep the battery in great condition. However, when I came to start the cars both batteries were flat!! These batteries will no longer take a...

"Banana" inlet manifold.

Had a query from a friend. Will the "banana" inlet manifolds from an early Jetronic engine fit a later head and is there any benefit from doing this powerwise?

Re: More headlight woes

Now, I wasn't aware there were different headlight mounting systems for the various years so I have to return these and find the right ones. So, back to the drawing board. ](*,) There are 3 different headlight mounting systems. Up to 1982 (E12 based car). '82- 87 (pre Highline). '87 on (Highline).

Many, many thanks for all the the messages of best wishes and support. I'm now back home (for the second time) and starting the long recuperation. Apparently my "wound" could take a few months to heal so won't be out in the garage any time soon!! Wil have to rethink my strategy as I have too many ca...

Re: Get Well Soon, Ron

Many, many thanks for all your good wishes etc. Had 21 days in hospital and was discharged home. That lasted 4 days before the District Nurse became extremely concerned about leakage from the wound (it smelt terrible) !!!! So back to the local hospital which kept me in for the night and the followin...

Re: Losing Brake Pedal When Engine Running

I've been following this thread with some interest as on at least 8 cars I have had the same symptom ie pedal slowly sinks with engine running. I talked to a local BMW specialist garage (I think around 15 years ago) who confirmed that he'd had the same thing with other models and makes and never did...

Might help if you put your model and year in your profile. The fuel rail varies a lot depending on year.
