Re: Theft alarm

Factory alarm will have red light behind R/D door (maybe L/H in US) and key slot on rear panel between the rear lights.

Re: Wiring diagram for a/c and aux cooling fan for Euro '79

I'd like to understand how the basic wiring is supposed to work before I try adapting the a/c wiring harness. So... does anyone have a wiring diagram that covers both the aux cooling fan and a/c on a Euro '79? Hi Rob, Contact "olympia57" (Don). Many years ago I sent him some A3 blow-ups of the wiri...

The car has a flip radio and I'm unsure if this is original.

The wheels are NOT original. What make is the radio? A pic of it would be good.

now from the back of the passenger side low beam headlight assembly, there is a knob on the top left and one on the bottom right.

.....which one is used for the up/down movement of the light (making the beam higher or lower)
Bottom left is for up/down. Top right is for in/out.

Hunting on start-up.

This is an M30 (M90) engine in my E23 735i.

On cold start the engine hunts from 1100rpm down to stalling. It also has a vacuum gauge fitted which fluctuates wildly until the engine warms up. Once warm, everything settles to normal with the idle around 800 rpm.

Any ideas on cause?

I'm guessing that this UK M635CSi listed on eBay is either number 226 or 257
It's #226 (it's got A/C which #257 didn't have).

Sold for £10,052!!

Re: M90 polished bananas and cam cover.

I didn't polish them, Dave. I got them from ebay a while ago. Someone in the States polished the arse off them to get a finish that looked chrome plated and then they got left in a damp environment and got really corroded in places. I did make a start on them but too much for me. I found a polisher ...
