Re: Car covers - what brand do you have ?

If you can stretch to it, get one of THESE . I use both internal and outdoor versions and I can highly recommend them! Currently I have a classic, sat outside for 2 years in an exterior bubble. I washed, polished and waxed it beforehand and every time I unwrap the car to fire it up and give it a ru...

Re: Starter Issues on Manual Car

I didn't need the tool kit but I have a set of short, cranked ring spanners that worked. Initial problem was that the top bolt refused to budge but with a prodigious spray of penetrating oil and a little persuation with a lump hammer I eventually got it moving. Using the 17mm.flat ring, you can get...

.....I decided to splash out on a shiny new starter today. I removed the old one (that top bolt is an interesting challenge) and swapped it for a new item.
Use the 17mm./19mm. flat ring spanner from the toolkit. Relatively easy with that!

Re: Speedo signal lost

So nowhere near when I fiddled. In the spirit of it must be something I did, the other thing I did was to remove the cam cover to change its gasket. So I removed the air box, MAF and the rubber hoses. I also disconnected the plugs to the MAF and idle sensor (I think that's what it is called). I was...

Re: Silicon Hoses

The hose set in that pic doesn't look right for a late 635. The "M" hoses are totally different. I contacted 3 hose manufactures quite a while ago ref. both 635 and M635 and was told that possibly they would make for the 635 but not the M635 due to limited numbers built! This may well have changed b...
