Google Ground Control a company in California and read what they have. I did my suspension and after a bunch of spring experiments have what I initially wanted.
If you end up goin that way, PM me and I'll tell you what springs I ended up with. NOT what they suggested.

Re: Bilstein B-6's
My car is a 1980 January build---WBA 53310005549295. Good point, I should have given the year for clarity.

Re: Bilstein B-6's
Well previous inquiries for these lead me to be a bit sarcastic. I did say " what shipping would best suit your needs." That meaning UPS, FEDX, DXL, USPS your choice? Weight with front spring tops and bottom supports 45 LBS. Dimensions, one box 27"X11"X9.5". 14118 SE 35th St...

Re: Bilstein B-6's
The shocks have maybe 200 miles on them. I can include the bearing tops for the fronts but the spring rubber supports are history. My car has 292,000 KM's so the bearing tops aren't what I would put back especially after changing struts! They're yours if you want them. I'm not in the business of sel...

Back home
.
Took a look and you are correct. There are snaps that when pressed the tubes separate form the other assembly. However, I can't figure out how you would get to them without a little more disassembly?

Re: Clock reset
My car only has one (1) vertical panel next to driver side. That said, I can't imagine how to get the dash assembly to come forward on my car without removing screws in the back of the tubes? It would be nice if BMW built most of the cars the same but it keeps it interesting. I'll take a harder look...

Re: Clock reset
Hello again.
After giving it some thought, you probably don't need to do the as tray, radio, hazard, etc. removal. Just get the dash assembly out via all the other steps.
I should have given it a little more thought.

Re: Clock reset
Well hello and sorry for your luck. I would first find the 8 watt fuse, (white), for the glove box, emergency button, cig lighter clock and remove it for ?? half hour and reinstall and pray that shocks it back on. Short of that remove ash tray , gently pull decorative black horizontal screen out (2 ...

Re: Clock reset
Well thank you and it's nice to know I'm not totally losing it or alone. I did manage to find one on ebay one year newer out of a 5 series and bought it. That meant I could take apart my mine, that decided to work again. I found that there are two pretty good sized capacitors that I just left alone ...

Re: Clock reset
Thanks ,I do push the center button, doesn't seem to matter. It's been doing this on/off for years. I thought I'd see if someone knew a secret to it or perhaps why? By the way I recently changed the glove box bulb to Led and it works great. Amazon has one that is a direct exchange for the incandesce...

Clock reset
I have been doing work on the 635 and disconnect the negative post on the battery. Some times when reconnected the clock can be set with no problem. Other times it just reads1:00 and won't do anything when I push the little pin holes. Does anyone know the trick to resetting when battery is reconnect...

Re: Mounting USA rear license plate on Euro model
I just squeezed the original tabs inward and drilled the Washington plates and screwed after I had trimmed the plate.
I researched the existing laws and found nothing wrong as long as numbers and state where intact. I trimmed the rear plate and cut the frame to fit

Thank you for the information. It's always nice to share information. FYI I recently replaced those two lift points and welded them as a 3 piece assembly along with several square inches of new flooring. A new experience for me.

Re: Suspension and Brake Re-Fresh
Hi, Just a quick observance of your jack location. You have positioned it on a factory moving positioner and NOT a jack point located about a foot towards the rear. There are two jack points on each side. You can feel them by running your hand along the bottom between wheels. There are two bumps on ...

Re: heater return hose
without tearing into the interior to see my hockey puck, what I have are to approx. 5/8" tubes sticking out of the fire wall. One (top) appears to go towards left side plumbing and the bottom goes to back of head and attaches to a metal 90 degree bend. That is the hose shown at the beginning of...

I am in need of the heater return hose for 1980 euro 635 with M90 motor. I've attached a picture since no US parts suppliers seem to know what I need. It goes on the bottom of the heater core outlet and over to the rear of the head and attaches to a 90 degree fitting. It measures. 12" from outs...
