Re: Get Well Soon, Ron

Just came on here for the first time in... Well... Probably years. Found this and was struck down at first - before getting to the part were it was mentioned that Ron was actually on the mend a bit. Do keep on that path, will ya'? While I haven't been on here that much and probably not in direct con...

Re: TRX tires

Any pics on these?
Might be interested in scrapping (no, not really scrapping) my 'Style 5's' for these.

Re: Smiley ellipsoids for my LHD 1989

It would seem that I need to go looking for switches on my current ones - just to make sure!

Thanks for helping out!

Re: Smiley ellipsoids for my LHD 1989

Are you sure?
I've heard different opinions on this, and I can't really remember any adjuster switches on my current headlights.

Smiley ellipsoids for my LHD 1989

Still looking for a set of uncracked ellipsoids for my '89...

Either the whole fixture, or just the lenses.
Preferably both sides - but really it's just the right side that's cracked on my car (so that one is most important).

Thanks!

Can one really put 'runs and drives' in the same sentence as 'one day it died on me and I parked it'?

Fascinating!

Do you have any guesses at all to the cost of shipping it over the pond?
Is it, like, another $300?

Amazing looking car!!
And I also quite agree with people saying that the 'patina' suits the car.
The nose ding could probably be fixed without the car losing any charm, but the scrapes on the spoiler for instance - they absolutely can't go! ;)

I don't altogether hate this...
...but when you do stuff like this you have to fix the way that the dash meets the door cards as well! Looks horrible.

Have you recd. it yet? :D :D :D I am totally, and utterly, amazed! Internet isn't supposed to be this. Internet is supposed to be bigotry, narrow mindedness and forum trolls. Not people in other countries just sending car parts to people in need. For free! I'm glad that I am surprised, though. And ...

Any good 'suspension kits' around?

I'm thinking that the next thing I want to tackle on my car is to make the ride a bit nicer. This would be achieved by changing all of the old bushings, and perhaps the shocks and springs. I'm guessing that there might come a time where I post a new thread along the lines of 'How the eff do I actual...

No chance you're looking to make a Quick buck? I'd take it off your hands for $5000. ;)

All kidding aside... $2.5k... Cars listed in Sweden tend to go for at least $20k - albeit in running and driving condition.

Congrats on the find!

I just barely manage to change spark plugs, oil and filters on my car. And then there's someone that can do all this.

WTB: Glove box upper cover

I don't have a parts number for this, and I also wouldn't know exactly how one would look, but still... At the moment when I'm opening up the glove box on my '89 I'm looking at parts wiring loom and parts coolant pipes. I'm guessiong that - from the factory - there would be some kind of cover that w...

Resto. on this car would have to start with a complete body strip and chemical immersion stripping/rust treatment. Jose Doesen't mean that it still can't be worth it though... A fully done up E9 3.0 is around $30.000 in Sweden these days (somewhat dependent on the mileage), and that's not likely to...

If genuine, this would easily be a $100.000* car these days, right?
And most likely at least double that in ten years or so.

Needs a Batman-kit, though! ;)

*Not in current state, of course.

Haha... Yes, the control rod is dubious - that's for sure! Not entirely certain as to why though. But, like I said earlier, I'm not sure as to why the central locking was disconnected either. The parts that I've connected so far (trunk, fuel door and now the passenger side door) seem to be working j...
