A few pix from SESF 2022
Sorry I didn't post these sooner - a few days after getting back from the ~8 hour drive to Chattanooga I hopped on an early flight to Boston and picked up a really nice '83 Euro 635 for my buddy (I picked him up at LaGuardia later that evening, rolling on to DC before we had to stop for sleep). http...

Re: ABS light now goes out
So I’m feeling very content and quite proud of myself, why? I’ve put up with the service light being on and not going out when connecting no7 to earth and my ABS light not going out for a long time . I finally got round to taking the instrument pod out and changing out the rechargeable batteries.I ...

Re: oil level sensor
I replaced my oil level sensor with a used one that was supposed to come from a working car, but it didn't make the light go off. I'm wondering if both sensors are gummed up a bit, and how I might clean the one I put in the car next time I change the oil? (I damaged the wire on the old one being stu...

Re: ABS SENSOR / BOSCH PART NUMBER?
Did anyone ever come up with a part that works properly and doesn't require lengthening? I found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333607875740?hash=item4dac94349c:g:7fMAAOSwX9Ney6~P This guy is apparently known to the folks at MyE28 (and possibly here - I'm in mid-search), and notes that re-routing wi...

Re: Starter Help - 3 Questions
Lee, you need to put your location in your sig or profile, just helps us when people are looking for or trying to sell large items, like engines #-o Don't have any answers to your questions, but as you are aware, you are in the right place for that =D> BTW, did you even receive an email from me :-?...

Starter Help - 3 Questions
I'm installing a new starter on my M635, and hit a few things. I've gotten the plenum/etc. out of they way and now have acess to the starter/solenoid. 1 - Having trouble with the lower bolt - I know the upper is usually the hard one, but it was only finger tight...  I can't quite get t...

Re: M6 stalling out, some bucking at low RPM
We did swap a nearly-new (only a thousand miles and in a car running perfectly) AFM in on the way home last year and it didn't make any difference.raykoke wrote:I'd have a look at the AFM as well.
Good luck,
Ray
I have considered sending the AFM to Programa along with the ECU to be reflowed/etc. though...

Re: M6 stalling out, some bucking at low RPM
Put a voltmeter across the battery terminals and check the voltage with the engine off, and then running. A fully-charged battery should read 12.7V, and with the engine running, you should see 13.8V or better (at slightly above idle speed). Also check that you belts are tight and not slipping, as a...

Intermittent Shutoff issues
Greetings gents - I haven't been here in a while, and I'm embarrassed that a problem brings me back. I have an '86 M635 (9/85 build) that is having a strange problem that nobody seems to have nailed yet. I've got some experiments in the works (e.g. loaner stuff on the way), but thought I'd post here...
