Re: 85 euro m635csi & m88/3 timing chain - my project

ok, my hat is off to the documentaion. I recently completed the single to double row conversion. Main reason was customer wanted all new parts and that is not possible as you found and stay with the single row chain. MY BIG QUESTION....What did you use for the valve cover to intake box vent hose whe...

Re: M90 engine overhaul

Pretty much everything Bert said, My 79 M90 was extremely strong, hi comp forged pistons, cam and Stahl headers and it easily handled e30 M3's at Summit Point 30 years ago. Also a e9 with supposedly 12:1 and triple side drafts that the builder claimed well over 300HP... I doubt it, but it felt good ...

Re: 85 euro m635csi - my project

You are fortunate to have found the single row parts. I am in the midst of converting a single row m635 to a dual row. NLA is the master link chain as well, so more material has to be removed to allow the chain to clear the cam box ( which is where all the clearance problems are ). I've done quite a...

Re: Rear Shocks

most likely not a shock problem, I would be picking up shock/spring assembly if driving doesn't get them to "settle" down

Re: Oil Leak from rear of engine.. advice

My M car had a leak I chased for a while, probably not your problem, but you'll enjoy the laugh at my expense. Had oil at the trans/engine joint at the bottom...Rear engine seal, drat, but I have a lift at the shop, so new seal and new clutch , why not ?? All buttoned up and a week later dreaded bur...

Re: Oil Leak from rear of engine.. advice

If you ever need to replace the gasket on the rear of the head, it's not that bad.... Remove fan clutch as you will need all the clearance everywhere that you can get Floor jack under the trans remove lower trans mount nuts carefully raise the floor jack and that will raise the rear of the engine en...

after 5 years of sitting...............

This isn't an e24, but an S38 engined M5, so i thought it appropriate. Sat 5 years approximately since it last ran and wasn't driven much the prior 2 years. Replaced the ecu and fuel pump relays and got spark. Pulled injectors and cleaned them, installed new injector seals. Drained fuel tank, nasty ...

Hardened Crank Hubs for S38 and M88 engines FS

If we get 10 sold, the price drops to 225 each delivered. Will deliver anywhere , USD, overseas delivery additional. Greg Rea had these test...
