Re: Lowering advice please

Thanks Onthefritz. I may look into your option. So it dropped the front and then you adjusted the rear to match? Did you upgrade front strut inserts to make up for the slightly ‘softer’ e30 spring?

Re: Lowering advice please

Thanks all. Update. I ordered sport springs from Ireland Engineering, but as many spring sets I’ve come to find out do not fit over the sls shock in the rear (slightly too narrow). And NOBODY makes a set of 1” lowering springs that are compatible with sls. Returning the springs and kind of at a loss...

Re: Lowering advice please

nice one Mr. Bostn635! Do you have SLS in the rear too?

Can anybody recommend a different strut insert other than Billstein? Can't find them anywhere. Backordered from Billstein. I assume i just need the inserts?

Lowering advice please

I have an 88 US 635csi and may be in need of new front struts. I have the SLS in the back and everything is still functional well (imagine that)?! Is there a setup that allows me to lower the front a little and adjust the SLS ride height in the rear? I have 16” rims and not an overly aggressive driv...

They do still look okay, but I do take care of them well and probably only put 15k in miles on the odometer in 10 years.

Tire Recommendations

Looking to get new tires. Had current tires for about ten years and even though there's still enough tread, I think swapping tires would improve the overall ride. Currently have Bridgestone Potenza and generally happy with them, but considering a swap out for either Michelin Pilot Exalto or Pirelli ...

Retro Sound 4x6 up front

Anybody use these speakers up front in the pick panel? I bought a set, due to their minimal depth, but having issues with the 'cone' sticking up too far and not being able to use the stock speaker grills. I may return and get a set of Polk 4x6's since they appear (by reading other threads) to fit an...

Speaker Replacement brands?

tomorrow I am getting a new four channel amp installed and running all new wires to to each of my four speakers (probably won't bother with the door tweeters). I'll be replacing front and rear speakers myself at a later date since I need to do some research and see what can fit without modifying the...
