Re: Norcal Meet and Drive

I think it would be nice to take a bit of a drive with others!! I have not been around a group of coupes in a bit.
I would prefer it to be nice weather so maybe April or May??

I will check back to see if this develops.

Re: Complete tail light units

To the OP, you would really well just manufacturing the rear seals for the lights, as this old thread shows... https://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27646&hilit=rear+light+seals Be aware that you would also get a lot of business from E26 owners as they are desperate for rear seals too. Th...

Re: Schrick 284/280, valve clearances same?

Interesting as the spec. from Schrick for valve clearance is 0.25mm =.010" for that and most, if not all, of the small and big block BMW's I have this cam but not installed yet and have wondered what clearance will work best. We would run carbureted M30's at .010 and injected at .011-.012"...

Re: RHD Exhaust manifold for M88 into E12 chassis?

What a cool project to have a M88 in a E12 chassis!! I would say no 2 valve exhaust header or manifold will fit a 4 valve head, different port shape and bolt count / size Looks like I see some small tubes on the exhaust side of your engine by the valve cover from a S38 B36 exhaust manifold?? I do wo...

So I also was in need of replacement boots for my sport Bilsteins I believe these are called B8 now. But after many phone calls there seems to be no way of purchasing actual Bilstein boots... So I want to share I bought these Blue boots from Summit and they fit very well, some minor rotary file work...

I have used Redline MT 90 for years without issue, It works better with the big box than MTL for rattle issues.

Re: 1985 M635CSi exhaust help please

That is a outstanding M635 sounds like it has a good home. I did a check for availability with these exhaust parts in ATLAS, looks like the rear muffler is not in stock anywhere but is not listed as NLA. The part # has a superseded part and I can't verify what that is as I am not at work to check, b...

I have had less than comfortable dealings with them in the past.

I will stay with Marshal at Double 02 Salvage in Hayward.
I have know him since he and Theo started the business and he always take care of my parts needs.

A Euro should absolutely have an M88 and that is an M88 valve cover, which won't bolt onto an S38. The VIN lookup must be squirrelly. Jose Almost would seem that way but... The vin lookup is right from BMW centernet Both my M635's show a S38 in the vin decode also. Seems the decode has no clue of t...

I worked at Hardy & Beck back in THOSE days and we took our conversion cars to Speedo Tach in Walnut Creek to have the KM/Mi transfer done and then the speedo calibrated to the car for accuracy. That's so cool that you used to do that. What was the deal with drilling those reflectors/sidemarker...
