BMW E24 E28 M5 M6 M635 Ignition Wire Loom, NEW Karlyn STI
One brand new never-installed ignition wire set & integrated square loom to fit BMW E24 M6, E28 M5 with the S38 engine, and Euro M635 with the M88/3 engine. Presumably these fit on an M88/3 equipped M535, but verify that before purchase. These retail for close to $400. $250 takes them Send me so...

Re: My 1984 BMW M635 on Bring a Trailer
I was relieved to see that car surpass my $57,500 valuation hunch. Bring-a-Trailer insisted the reserve should be 10K lower, so I made a bit of a gamble by agreeing to that. They want to sell the car, after all. The fellow who bought the car is new to the E24, but has a clear appreciation for Paul B...

My 1984 BMW M635 on Bring a Trailer
Good day all, I have decided to sell my 1984 BMW M635 #671 and have it on Bring a Trailer presently. Delphin Gray Metallic over anthracite buffalo leather interior. 91k miles. I have enjoyed this car a great deal, but need space in the garage for whatever comes my way next. https://bringatrailer.com...

Re: Coil over suspension for a pre 82 car
Ah, okay. A circumferential weld makes sense. Not sure I'd want to go that route. My very late E12-based car needs new springs. May have to have a set made.

Re: Coil over suspension for a pre 82 car
Do you still have this setup? Haven't done much to my 82 633csi's suspension, other than acquire new Blisters for it. Curious how these coil overs would work with my stock strut tubes.

The high nose air dam is indeed what my car has.. looking for the lower, more visible version. Thanks for checking.

Re: Parting 1985 635csi
Does this car have a front air dam, under the bumper? If it is intact, uncracked and has all its brackets, I'd be interested in purchasing it.
Looks like it could be missing though its hard to tell from the photo.

Re: Early E24 Springs - H&R?
I went ahead and ordered the springs. Hopefully they are correct. The car will retain its stock ride height, but that's okay. With new springs and B6s, its handling and ride ought to be much improved. I love the car for what it is: A well preserved US market cruiser in a rare color. It will never be...

Re: Early E24 Springs - H&R?
BMW Parts Deal.com has some springs available, but they're expensive. I generated the PNs below from RealOEM. My 633 is a 3/82 production car for the US market. 31331124004 Front 121.83 ea. 9/79-9/82 33531111550 Rear. $134.54 ea. 9/78-5/82 The fronts appear to be common to the Euro 635.. perhaps the...

Re: Early E24 Springs - H&R?
Well yeah, it is clear that the springs are different. Not interested in going with coil overs. I'll have a set of springs made to approximate the Euro-spec items. If this works out, I'll share the details.

Re: Early E24 Springs - H&R?
Ah, okay, that 29534-2 kit seemed too good to be true. Are all four springs different between the E12 and E28 chassis, or just the rear springs? Some of the application guides for the Ebay 29534-2 kits do mention E12 applications.. these must be in error. Not sure that I am ready for a coil over kit...

Early E24 Springs - H&R?
Have any early E24 owners out there had good results with the H&R 29534-2 spring kit for the E12 5-series? Early E24 suspensions are allegedly identical to the E24 through 5-/82, so it seems like the E12 kit ought to work. My 1982 US market 633csi springs are about done after 110k miles and 40 y...

Re: Mystery Vibration @ 3000-3300rpm 82 633csi
I've had the 633csi out for the past couple of days and was once again vexed by the mystery vibration between 3000 and 3300rpm. This afternoon, I replaced a partially collapsed RH engine mount, which brought the engine back to proper position but of course did nothing to alleviate the noise. ](*,) W...

Re: Mystery Vibration @ 3000-3300rpm 82 633csi
I sure did. With the engine idling and a shop rag in hand, I stopped the fan and revved the engine to 3000rpm. The grumble did not abate.

Mystery Vibration @ 3000-3300rpm 82 633csi
Hey folks, My very original 108k mile 1983 US-spec 633csi 5sp car has developed a most unusual behavior: With the engine revving between 3000-3300 rpm, a low, grumbly "wawawawa" sound is heard inside the cabin. The sound will occur weather the transmission is in neutral or in gear, stopped...

Re: 1980 635CSI Euro Spec hennarot all original 53k miles
For some reason which I cannot remember, I sold this car in 2016. Bidding didn't meet reserve, but I sold the car to the high bidder for $16k after the fact. In some ways, this Euro feels faster than the 84 M635, at least in the lower rev range. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1983-bmw-635csi-euro...

Early E24 Front Spoiler wanted
I am looking for a front air dam / spoiler for my 82 633csi US-spec car. Must be in undamaged original condition. Color doesn't matter as I'll paint it to mach the car. If you have the mounting hardware and OE fog lamps to go with it, so much the better. Located in the Seattle, WA area. Not sure of ...

Re: FS 1983 Euro 635 w/59K miles on Bring-a-Trailer
Thanks for the kinds words... :D At ten grand, I'd be giving this car away. CThe right people weren't bidding, I guess. I peered onto the headboard void, but I think Wynn had already been there. There is evidence of a failed glue repair on both tabs. :( if that is indeed the case, it would represent...

Yeah I am the one whi bought three years ago. Looks like I'll be keeping it for a while longer. Wynn did indeed do a great job during his too-brief ownership. Its a special car and I am glad to be keeping it, even if I don't have room for it.

FS 1983 Euro 635 w/59K miles on Bring-a-Trailer
Hey everyone, I am auctioning my 1983 635csi Euro on Bring-a-Trailer. Its a 59k mile car in excellent condition with known ownership history from day one. The car was imported to the Bay Area of California when it was still new, and has zero rust. Check out the auction and feel free to ask questions...

Looking for an OEM BMW radio/cassette deck for my 1983 635csi Euro. Also looking for radio wire harness pigtails, plus security code if applicable. Thanks!
