Re: No start M635csi

UPDATE It started!. the reason for the no start condition was simple but not obvious. My ecu has the miller performance war chip. I took the ecu out to make a small global adjustment to the timing curve at my tuner. The tuner, after making the change by mistake, had changed the rev limiter to 0 rpm...

Re: No start M635csi

The original relays (which had been working fine for 3 years) that I used on both the main and fuel were plugged in and behaved the same as the new ones and the used and new main both got hot. part numbers are as per the parts catalog.

No start M635csi

Help. was running fine but now it cranks but no start. No changes have been made. changed, CTS, FP relay, Main Relay, cleaned AFM. Only clue is main relay was worm/hot even on the unswitched position. even with no key in the ignition, if you present the main relay to the socket, it goes click. batte...

Re: Help with high idle

I have a Miller MAF kit so I dont have the AFM arrangement anymore. The main bypass screw (the one you adjust 8 turns from fully closed) is the one that, at the moment, makes no change on the idle (no matter the position). I have disconnected the hose from the intake plenum and the idle control slid...

Re: Help with high idle

Took the car for smoke testing. They found no leaks. However, I can still place a plastic bag over the airbox opening (I have removed the snorkel) and the engine still runs!!. Not smoothly as without it but the idle does not go down. Again, Throttle plates are all closed (the stop screws are all wit...

throttle push rod removal for adjustment

The throttle linkage in the M635csi has two push rods looking at each other towards the rear of the engine (the front has only one with the springs) these two are so close together that I cant remove the nuts holding each let alone remove the push rod itself. any idea how it is done?

TIA

Re: m635 Exhaust options

I would surely recommend the coating. Look for a local source for the process, it is not proprietary and many powder coaters do it. The reduction in under-hood temps will keep all the other components younger.

Re: Coilover Brands

Don't be discouraged in your search for coilovers. Ground Control can help you our and GAZ seems to make a very finished product. The smaller diameter spring will give you the best clearance for your tires and wheels and the adjustability will allow you to tailor the handling characteristics. Every ...

Re: Which Coilovers?

I have used shocks like the Bilstein sports and others thru the years and the quality of the damping performance is not as good as good coilover setup. having replaced the Koni shocks in a 944 turbo with the 28 series coilover brought about much better body control and less harshness. The Bilstein i...
