Re: Connector and Socket Sources

Here's another non-oem source: I found a Molex "Plug Housing with Integrated Seal- Valueseal" Numbers 172877-0002 and 172878-0002 which can be bought through Digikey. Molex has great product drawings. Only question is how the wire is fixed to the connector. It mentions "terminal series 173041 and te...

Ron,
I've used the 3300 model this past winter and I topped off the water in the cells before going into storage. Have you tested the charger output with a multimeter?

Re: Another one bit the dust

Aside from the succession issue, I would have made some changes: upgrade product offerings to eliminate low quality such as "Uro", drop the printed bulletin in favor of all electronic dissemination, create a similar concept as "Insider Track Club" at Harbor Freight. The annual membership is a profit...

Hex Plus

I may be slow to discover this, but there are hex head tools with a different design, designated "Hex Plus" or "Hex +". I saw these on youtube and made by Wera (a German manufacturer). The design has a slightly different shape to reduce deformation when turning a cap screw and reduce camming out. So...

Re: A/C abilities

There are a lot of Sanden clones out there at very low prices. I'm not sure how inferior they are vs the real thing. Also it seems to be hard to source the correct real Sanden. There are ad words to be wary of: "Sanden type" "Sanden style". I'm told the only way is to look at the tag riveted to the ...

Riley,
Congrats on bringing it back to life. Too bad for us that you did a significant amount of parts replacement without zeroing on the actual no-start cause. Maybe you did, so for knowledge sake, please let us know.
Thanks,
Ken

FS: 3 old floor mats

I've got 3 old mats for sale: driver and two rears. Real OEM carpeting. Greenish. The black backing is coming apart but the carpet is sound. BMW logo on driver's mat and the heel pad is intact. All I need is postage from NYC to you.

My phone doesn't do the color justice. It is a chocolate brown. They are happy to send color samples (I think they get $1 each)

I also have a template for a trunk mat, but until I empty that in the summer, It will wait. I may use a different material back there with a solid color.

Re: My 6'er- Cocomats

I just received my Cocomats. They are great people to work with. I started with their existing 635 template, but after a few revisions, it fits like a glove. I used the Coco color 06 which is a beige dot on a brown background. The heavy rubber backing should settle in over the summer as the car warm...

I just watched an interesting video on youtube where a fellow used a Cricut to make gaskets for his chain saw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hejUzvfGuY8 I would image given the profile, you would have to make this out of several layers of thin neoprene (such as a mouse pad) and glue up with wetsui...

Re: Cheap gas..

No LPG cars in the USA. Or very very rare that someone imported or created. I think warehouse forklifts may run on LPG, maybe a lawmower. You have Gasoline or Diesel. In the rural US where I live there are no emissions inspections either. Only a safety inspection every two year to make sure your si...
