Re: Cloth Interior Cleaner?

I've used Blue Coral upholstery cleaner. The key is to rinse and use a soft brush to minimize the pilling of the nap. More like blot rather than brush. Worst was my mom's car and she was a heavy smoker. Ugh.

+1 for Bert. Bought a lovely tail light surround that was perfect. Next time you're in NYC, I'll buy a round.

Re: 1982 CSi Resto

Because nearly all of the chrome has been keyed to help the paint stick to it I'm having to replace it - never paint chrome! I had hoped that the rear bumper would be retrievable but sadly someone has had a go with a sander. These parts almost look very good until you look carefully - if re-chromed...

I looked longingly at my Garage Queen and the mid-30's temp and hope it warms up soon. I've got some "flat on my back" work to do: diff mount, holey muff and busted pitman arm to attend to.

I've got some of the white fog at the bottom of the windshield. It is either delamination or deterioration of the inter-glass layer. Unless it spreads or is an impediment to a state inspection, just leave it alone.

Rear exhaust doesn't seem in interchange. Mine was a one-piece from front to rear and I'm told to save shipping costs, BMW went to a 2-piece...What I really need is the rear silencer that has 2 pipes in and two out.

I love Cali cars. So clean compared to our Northeast salt suckers. It even takes a few weeks of spring rains to scrub the streets to where it is safe to bring the garage queen out of hiding.

Install a new Lemforder Differential mount. My car had the original mount, cracked and rock hard. The car sat a little higher with the new mount as the rubber was not compressed.

Re: Car covers - what brand do you have ?

I have a NOAH fabric from BavAuto. Fits snug and the customer service is great. They are a sales agent for Covercraft. I also bought a Stormproof made by Coverking from Autoaccessories garage. Fit was way too snug and it didn't reinforce critical area around the bottom of the bumpers.

What about air shocks? I still run standard shocks on my 84 633 so I do not have any experience with them.
