Wallothnesch will be your best bet. Re: 83 633CSI - No Power to Fuel Pump Relay

Diagram from the 1983 633 ETM Capture.JPG Fuel pump relay draws it power directly from the battery and there should be power to pin 30 of the fuel pump relay at all times. The pump relay is switched by grounding pin 87 of the main relay thru the fuel pump control of the motonic unit. Are you not get...

Re: No Crank Issue

Thanks for the clarification re M30 vs S38 always good to learn something new

Using a good external 12volt source to pin 11 looks like the go. Having the battery in the trunk is a bit of a pain

Let us know how you go

Re: No Crank Issue

I have always thought it was pin 11 and pin 14 that were jumped to spin the starter. I have the M30 motor can someone confirm S38 is the same, I thought it was going by the wiring diagrams Pin 14 is hot all the time as it comes from the battery. So jumping pins 11 and 14 spins the starter even with ...

Re: Brake pedal randomly goes to the floor

Sounds like it could be master cylinder to me. A bad brake bomb would show up with different symptoms Did you notice if one of the calipers was binding slightly when driven? If one of the calipers is dragging slightly due to a sticking master cylinder the fluid will heat up in that circuit and can r...

Re: 1985 635CSi - Crank, no start problem

Looks like you found the issue, the obc relay box The issue will be either the relay or the circuit board that the relays are attached to that has dry solder joints or cracks. If you can find the fault you can reflow the solder. It will be easier to just make connection between the two green wires p...

Re: 1985 635CSi - Crank, no start problem

The issue is number 5 in the list. As you have said the problem is that there is no voltage at socket 86 and ground at the main relay. The car will never start with no power to socket 86 at the on or start position. The main relay is closed by grounding pin 86 to pin 85 to allow voltage to flow to t...

Re: Faded Bumpers & Dynamat

I have had good results using Solution Finish for the external trim and rubber.
It actually is absorbed by the material and bonds with it rather than just coating it like most products
Also I have heard good reports on Gtechniq C4 but have not used it

Re: New member, looking for info on car to purchase

Hi Robert welcome. Good to see another Aussie here Some times the VIN decoders have issues with the early cars decoding the options. If you send an email to classic@bmwgroup.com and give them your VIN they will give you as much information as they have on file record about the car Be aware that they...

Re: No Start - Cranking - No Fuel - No Spark

If the injectors have power that would indicate that the OBC and the main relay are Ok passing power if the coil has power at teminal 15 this indicates that the ignition switch wiring is ok If you jumper the fuel pump relay 30 to 87 does the fuel pump run. Ensure you have the correct relay as the fu...

Hi Monoi Shine a torch on the display and see if you can still see the numbers if so most likely the light bar for the display has blown I take it you have a RHD car if you are from London. If so, remove the stereo and you should be able to access the OBC slide the light bar out of the top of the un...
