Re: 1988 635 - kinda scam victim here.. but still ok
Wow, looks like a nice and neat car, at least on those photos :o I did something similar buying a car from a dealer over the internet, but I did not do any checks at all on it  :-k  My '89 Highline came from Carlisle, Pennsylvania and I expected some rust of course, perhaps some of the ...

I agree with GRNSHRK, the shadowline is perfect . I think, I'll do that for mine sooner or later as well, the grey color I have already

About the stickers, they're made of vinyl and easily removed at will. They don't leave any residue. Once I get tired of them, they're gone

Re: Location.
Well, taking advantage of this post, is there by any chance someone in this forum from or around El Paso, TX? Just asking, since I'm kind of the only one from northern Mexico, but from the most northern border to the US (to be precise, just across the "mighty" Rio Grande  ) Just check...

Yep, they are 8", I'm running on 225/50 R16 Kumho's and I'm very pleased with ride. Since I'm hardly driving any faster than 80mph, the handling and performance is quite OK for me.

Stunning!
Looks like money doesn't mean much down there, but I'm still interested how much these "improvements" may have cost??!

Re: Style 5 Rims 16x8 ET 23
Well, this last weekend I've put on my tires on the new (used) rims and they look nice as expected.
I also did add the 1/4" spacers in the front wheels only, even though they did not seem to rub or anything, but it looked kind of right at the edge .

Re: Air Condition Gas Type
Well, here in Mexico you can get them in 750ml spray cans.
My shop tech. has just added it to my sixer and it works very well. If it fails, I'm just back to a non-working A/C , but so far it's freezing cool.

Has anyone any experience with this brand as a R12 replacement? :-k Freon™ MO49Plus refrigerant This is what they say about this stuff on the net: Freon™ MO49Plus (R-437A) is an HFC retrofit refrigerant for R-12 in automotive air conditioning and stationary refrigeration systems, and for rep...

Air Condition Gas Type
OK, here I go again hoping someone can help me out with my ignorance when it comes to A/C leaks and gas types. A year ago I checked the A/C in my '89 sixer which was working well, compressor blowing fairly cold air \:D/ This year (which is one of the hottest ever here in northern MX) just warm air i...

I guess a few photos of the 2 (inside and outside) would help a lot to provide a more proper opinion.

Re: Trump or Clinton?
Hmmm, I just read this: Would Donald Trump Quit if He Wins the Election? He Doesn’t Rule It Out... :o Wow, to be honest, that would be the first smart thing he could and should be doing in my eyes. He would have proved his point(!) and also avoids the grueling job of governing (which he has no idea ...

Re: Style 5 Rims 16x8 ET 23
Are these a direct swap without any modifications such as spacers for example? I understand these are BMW made rims and should fit one of their models, just want to make sure...thanks for any input.
Currently I'm using Kumho's and I'm happy with their performance.

Trump or Clinton?
Just wondering what you guys think about this? Based on his way of promoting himself, Trump seems to be unlikely, but then again so was the Brexit  I as an outsider, still wonder how a country of +300 million people could end up with 2 candidates of such a questionable "quality". [-...

Style 5 Rims 16x8 ET 23
Just wanted to consult with the forum regarding any suggestions about suitable or recommended tires for these Style 5 Rims 16x8 ET 23. I have a chance to get them at a good price and they seem to look best on the E24's.

Nice Specimen, but wtf??!
Lately in Bremen at an Old-timer show.
This price tag caught my attention
Based on the old German D-Mark which was rated as 2 D-Mark = 1 Euro, this would translate to 158,000.00 D-Mark
Hmm, sounds like an awful lot to me...

Re: Coolant Red Light
Sorry for the delay, I was travelling and just got back. Well, based on all your comments, I checked the coolant level and it seemed to be just a drop too low, barely under the level mark. Guess what, it did the trick! Thanks for your quick tips on this issue, feel a bit foolish now, but the level d...
