Re: Euro 635csi
635CSi VIN start at 5545000, so this would be the 142nd produced. Not sure if there were only 250 made for 1978.

Re: WTB: Fuel pump combo relay & ECU
The last time I was looking for one, I found one on ebay. Any luck there? I've had a bad experience with eBay before, so I tend to leave it as a last resort. I know it's seller to seller, but didn't want to worry about it again. Hindsight, should have just went with it. But I was hoping someone wou...

Up, still looking! Would love to get the car running in time for Christmas!
The fuel pump combo relay can also be the plastic casing.

Car runs super rich, out of ideas
I've been working on trying to get this problem fixed for a while now. Cross-posting from bimmerforums. My friend and I have been through about everything we think we could get through. Alright, posting this for a friend since apparently I'm more interested in getting the car back on the road than h...

Early "Nemo" Auxiliary Air Valve
I believe mine is not functioning properly, probably because it's stuck. How much is the valve supposed to open and close? All the way both directions? The picture is room temperature, and when I put it in a cup of boiling water, it closes maybe half of the square.
TIA
Chris

Re: Assorted Goodies FS: pic heavy! might have what you need
I'll send a pm with the parts I'd like, but I got a question regarding #20. Is that the canister that resides under the car, between the fuel filter and pump?

That is an awesome fix, as my valve has recently gone too.LandShark wrote:the early "nemo" valves suck. build yourself a choke and you wont have to worry about an NOS part failing in 2 years.

I bought my 78 635 csi for $3300 2 years ago. Driven maybe 2000 miles since. In addition to basic maintenance, I've redone the brake master cylinder, brake booster, vacuum lines, fuel lines, headlight/taillights, battery cables, and a lot of other minuscule things. Buying the car was the best worst ...

Due to much messing around with various cars I've had to move the 635 on and off the drive lots of times. It clearly hates such treatment and fluffed and grumbled until I went for a long run. I think the indignity of being moved to make way for a mate's diesel VW Passat who wanted an oil and coolan...

As always, Thank you all. I was definifely impatient, and it starts up fine now. I just felt that if I cranked it too long, I would break something (I am very paranoid about things like that). Brucey, I honestly wouldn't know 100% for sure, but the same thing had happened when I replaced the fuel fi...

Had my car pulled with tow straps, now the car won't run!
Couple weeks ago, my car bogged and died. I had to get it to my house, and the only way was to have it pulled as tow trucks weren't available late at night. Couple days ago, I got around to fixing the problem: An incorrectly installed fuel filter. Just to be safe, I dropped the gas tank and drained ...

G05 coolant instead of G48?
How different is G05 compared to G48? From what I understand, G48 is OEM and nitrite free. I'm planning on doing a coolant flush soon, and would like to know if it's okay to use G05. I don't mind spending the extra for the G48 at the dealership, though, since none of the chain autopart stores carry ...
