Re: 1983 633 csi $900
Thanks Zinno - For me, performance is somewhat a bag seat to just owning a nice car. Obviously, it needs restored. ANY manual is better than an automatic, right? I get lost in the years, nomenclature, because I don't spend a lot of time looking at 633/635's any more. I owned a 1985 automatic car is ...

1983 633 csi $900
https://lincoln.craigslist.org/cto/d/bmw-633csi/6721162251.html I spotted this on Lincoln Nebraska CL. Not really looking for a 633/635 project but 5 speed cars don't pop up close to Des Moines all the time. What might be good and bad about that drivetrain? Obviously he states engine is stuck and th...

Cross hatch wheels to me, always look better, even though they are more ubiquitous.

Mercedes 280C - Looking for Forum
I am looking to purchase a 1976 Mercedes 280C. I tried googling a Mercedes forum, so I could ask the kind of questions I can ask here about the 6 series coupes. But so far, have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know a good Mercedes forum where I could go to?
Thanks

Re: 1981 635csi euro with m90 1978 633csi Euro for sale in Chicago
Yes It's a tough one. I would actually like to take a stab at restoring the 81. It is equipped I think - the way 99% of us would like one - it's got the M90, LSD, manual, sport seats, euro bumpers, spoilers etc. The 1978 Euro has to be a nice car too, I like the color BUT I am not sure I like what h...

Re: Found 4 x M90 Motors Today
So - The M90 engine is a lower performance SOHC engine that was based on the M88/1. It utilizes the same block from the M88 and maintains the same bore and stroke, but borrows its head from the BMW M30 engine family. Different years of M90 engines used both Bosch Motronic and Bosch L-Jetronic engine...

Re: Found 4 x M90 Motors Today
So, I will try to learn more about these M90's. As some of you know, I am perpetually behind the learning curve on 6's. I spotted this ad which someone also posted in the For sale section here. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/5770982888.html I wish I had the time and rust repair skills, I lik...

1989 FS Houston Texas
https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5801587174.html Spotted this on Houston Craigs List. Because it is a 1989, and the price and mileage weren't too bad, I emailed about holding it for transport if I paid for it. Don't care for the wheels. Email came back OK, said yes can hold. Then today I get a cal...

Re: 1986 5 speed car on Denver CL
I was afraid of that. I did contact by text and got no response. I suppose this was a "storage wars" type of a purchase, since there was no key and it was obviously in some kind of a repo looking lot. Maybe not. Ad is still up, wish sellers would remove. I am not inclined to do projects an...

Re: 1986 5 speed car on Denver CL
Wow your in Denver now.
For restorations, everything would cost money, better to buy the $8000 car or - I saw a 1988 6'er on Kansas City CL for $4900 or so, in nice driver condition with minor issues. But so many people see the few profitable parts on this car, take those and dump the carcuss.

Re: 1986 5 speed car on Denver CL
Yea I am going to try and buy this car it is equipped the way I want a project car equipped. Nice colors, sport seats and a 5 speed, spoilers / dams. Not a fan of those wheels, they have to go. But if purchased, it would take me several years to restore anyway. As for those front and rear bumper/dam...

Tempting as a project. If I had the money, I would do a full restoration and although a person would over spend, this looks like a nice color combination, small rear spoiler and 5 speed.

Re: 1977 Comments Please
Thanks all that helps a lot. All I would want to do is continue the maintenance and replacement of worn parts such as the carpet and front seats. While I understand it won't be the perfomance car that a later 635 would be, nor is it in my opinion as attaractive as a front air dam car like my 1985 Fe...

Re: 1977 Comments Please
I am a little surprised I have not received a few more comments. I am in touch with the seller, and the car has not sold. 1st year for the 6 in the United States, it's a manual (but then perhaps most 1977's were manual, I don't know. Overall it looks nice to me. Not a fan of the updated wheels in th...

https://fortcollins.craigslist.org/cto/5574696562.html I spotted this on Denver CL. I thought it was interesting but I don't know much about the early cars.
