Re: F/S: 1987 BMW 635CSI

Bump! The muffler was just replaced by Grave's Muffler of Waco, TX after the last unit failed. It has also received a mechanical inspection from Terry Sayther Automotive, which recommends their "Major Tune Up" that's commensurate with the mileage that the car displays. Gave it an overall g...

Re: Looking for E24 Race Car or Good Base to start

Andy, I am located in Waco, TX currently and am planning to list my 1987 635csi for sale this week. It is an automatic and not prepped for race currently, but is pretty solid with some recent maintenance. If your deal falls through, send me a PM.

Great read... Yours words are obviously heartfelt. If i was to pen a piece such as this, my wife would be wanting to know why it wasn't penned about her............  Maybe take out the part about the high school sweetheart if you give this letter to her!! Nice work mate. Happy Anniversary - a love letter to my Shark

Today marks my third year of ownership of my 1987 635csi. The Great White's been one of the best parts about my life as a young enthusiast, and has taught me a ton of lessons. To celebrate, I wrote a "love letter" of sorts to the car, which you can read here on Petrolicious: https://petrol...

M30B34 rev issues under load

I have recently developed an issue with controlling the revs while under load in my 1987 635csi Automatic... Car idles normally ( nothing new, I need to clean cold start valve so it idles a little low until it gets to temperature ), but as I give it gas the idle will suspend and lope when it reaches...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Installed a new turn signal lens to replace the one damaged a couple of weeks back. Tried to drive to the store and experienced what I think is a spark plug or a timing problem. Car will idle fine, but as revs build over 1200rpm, the revs will drop drastically and the motor will lope severely until ...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Been troubleshooting a suspension-related electrical gremlin the past couple of days, to come to the conclusion that the cut-off solenoid for my air suspension's compressor has gone bad. Need to order the part tomorrow and get it on ASAP

Ordered a turn signal lens yesterday... Car was backed into in the parking garage :-( Luckily, though, the only damage that incurred was the amber lens.

So far today I've shined her up and put a new air freshener in the cabin.

Yesterday, she went 600 miles from my hometown to my college town!

Re: What diameter wheels are you running on your E24?

Ride height. There are air bag suspension applications that offer similar performance of a standard spring/coilover suspension; however, what I have fitted to my car is more for the aesthetic of the extreme stance . It still handles very well, but is not intended for high-performance driving. So su...

Re: What did you do to your E24 today?

Just enjoying the drive today. Lot of new work has been done recently, however..
New Neutral Safety Switch, tires (Toyo Extensa), wheel repair, exhaust system, expansion tank, and a few smaller items. It's never ran better in my entire ownership!
