Re: Window switch, complete

To be clear, you need the plug and the switch? The switch itself is an available part; often better to buy a new one than a taking chances with used. There was someone on here afew weeks ago that had some wiring harness parts for an early car; they might be able to help wiht the actual plug. Shift b...

Re: Sport Seat Rails / Tracks - $150

Bobbo

Memory is foggy, but I believe that I had these bolted in my 1980 to test fit at one point. I think it might have actually been after I was in your car, and you commented on your seat height.

Re: Sport Seat Rails / Tracks - $150

"Please verify what you're selling." Ralph - as noted, I bought them 15 years ago on eBay. That's what they were advertised as when I bought them. And also why there are a lot of pictures. Just trying to help out the communtiy by posting here vs. eBay. If they are something different, can ...

Sport Seat Rails / Tracks - $150

Bought these 15 years ago for a Recaro sport seat project that never happened; just ended up redoing my comfort seats. Includes seat rails and the adaptors for the sport seats. Missing some hardware to mount the adaptors for one seat as well as one of the adjusting plastic handle coverings. One driv...

Re: Air Conditioning

I have tried to document this so many times, but never end up doing it. I think it is much easier to remove radio as well for access to the panel, so I included this as well. Pop out and unplug cigar lighter and hazard switch. Should see 4 large phillips head screws. Remove. Depending on your radio ...

Re: LED lighting "upgrade"

Interesting. I was having issues when I first got my car (2005) that when I hit the brakes, the stereo would die. Well, I put in an aftermarket stereo and it is on the same circuit as the brake lights (and maybe the lighter too)? I replaced just the brake lights with LEDs back then (a LOT more money...

Re: Air Conditioning

The problem you describe was the original issue I had a number of years ago. It's the microswitch for the sounds of it. As had been said here, it is a generic switch. Actually used on microwawe ovens back in the day. Part number I have is XGG2-88-Z1. As also mentioned, one issue is that I think it i...

1983 633csi - $4,000. Buffalo, NY

For Sale is a 1983 BMW 633csi in Delphin Grey Metallic over Black interior. I assisted the owner with the purchase of it in 2017, and also assisting with the sale. He did not really get into the hobby, and has decided to sell the car. I have done a lot of the work on the car myself. Description of t...

Re: Air Conditioning

Not sure what the ultimate culprit was, but I replaced both relays (both are behind the panel; my earlier post was incorrect) and the temperature switch from a spare panel. Appear to be working as of now!

Mine is an 80. I have the ETM - appreciate the thought. From reading it and playing with the car, I think it is the temp switch or relay but know I am not the smartest guy in this room!

Re: Air Conditioning

Resurecting this thread as I have a early car AC issue. I replaced the heat/cool switch as Bert described a number of years ago. My issue is that the compressor only engages sporadically when turning the tempature switch. Blower motors switch fine from heat to cool, so I dont think it is the switch ...

+1 on the leaking steering box.

Would be interested in your experience on the repair and what was done. I was told by one shop that I needed to replace the entire box.

Blaupunkt Stockholm 21 - $50

Vintage Blaupunkt Stockholm 21. I was going to go back to retro on my car, but never got around to it. Sold as is. $50 + 4 pounds; actual shipping from 14226. 20220706_000340577_iOS...
