I am a lucky, lucky man...

This is gas on the foam. It was gushing all over, under the car, and that's what I saw when I opened the hood. Anyone had that happen to them? https://k94fba.dm2303.df.livefilestore.com/y3mlXG3q43l3w0TnZP5ls9ZIfZ8lCvfId8P3YI5V5YNZPGOgIkesFxHcoa9bwIJFwa4i98k0UEPYAojREmnD97_McAPyeet4h0r3tTmKdRuLEzMhtP...

May I ask for folks who've received it and installed it to confirm it's a-ok? Thank you!

Doesn't the E63 M6 have "Integral Active Steering"? Maybe your E24 had it before it was in fashion?

Re: Performace tyres upgrade

The sizes are available in the US in Pilot Sport, Conti, Bridgestone, Yokohama, BF Goodrich (which is a Michelin group brand and is quite good). Any of these would be appropriate in my opinion, with some better of course. Sad they are not available in Australia...

Re: Performace tyres upgrade

I want to be careful here, because I am talking about a former competitor, but of all the tires in the category, the PZero were the least worthy and the most hyped from a marketing point of view. I remember destroying a set (at a much, much lower speed than certified by Pirelli) in testing with Ferr...

Re: Performace tyres upgrade

I don't like the idea of 245/40ZR17 on 10" wide rims. Never designed for that. It's also a much smaller external diameter tire (7.5%), same type of difference you'd find between say a 3.5 and a 3.78 final drive... There's also fundamental differences in going to 18" which I explained in previous pos...

Re: Performace tyres upgrade

I have shared my opinion before, that I don't advise 18" or staggered wheels. Also your wheels are very, very wide (definitely wider than your current tires were designed for). In a perfect world (and in my opinion and experience again) the car would have 17" wheels at the 8" width all around, with ...

Re: 1989 635csi - A Hero Car

Went through major pain with radio removal recently. Same, was BMW but not original. Most BMW radios as you know have two little screw type locks, one on each side. Some have little metallic tabs (at least 4) on top and bottom, actuated by little levers on either side. Mine was that latter type and ...

Re: 1st post, just acquired an e24 today

More seriously, can you access the screws in the back of the glove box? If so, you may be able to slide it sufficiently to unlock it. Then make sure it does not fall under its own weight as you want to unplug the electric wires on the left and on top, and the little retainer on the right.

Re: 76 630cs Euro - Would you buy it?

There is no set market but at large prices are getting a bit steeper... It's all in the eye of the beholder. In my opinion, makes no sense buying such a unique car to then go change engines, etc. If you don't like that engine, buy a car with the engine you like. As such, the car is history and has s...

Re: 1st post, just acquired an e24 today

Hi, welcome. It's hard to say as you don't provide much in terms of specifics (exact model and year, VIN...) but as long as rust is very limited and all electrical work, it should be a good buy, everything else can be taken care of given time and effort. it looks like you are willing to take care of...

Yep, car appears to have great potential but the rear is ugly, tail lights broken, etc. It's priced as a nice car and does not jump out of the page as one.

Definitely on my list, but I can't take another project just now... May have to wait for a few weeks...

Meanwhile, it would be great if people receiving it and installing it would be kind enough to take some pictures and share their experience?

Thanks!

Interestingly, people told you the same thing back in 2012... Reviewing your posts, they are essentially all about asking for parts in very short sentences, there is no contribution back.

No offense meant either, and indeed you have been subscribed for a while, but I would not say you have contributed.
