Fuel pressure regulator on fuel rail? I had one go bad causing too much pressure and very poor running except with wide open throttle. This is a good point, I don't see anywhere in the OPs posts where he has checked fuel pressure. I usually install a semi permanent gauge on my cars so I can always ...

Re: No Power, Running Super Rich

I replaced the temp sender (the long one that plugs into the blue and white wires to the ECU) with a brand new OEM BMW part. There's another one with a red plastic cap on it but it's not actually connected to anything. This is it: https://www.flickr.com/photos/29157481@N07/53203828740/ I'm pretty s...

Very nice work Bobbo. Well worth the effort to clean and repaint that area.Too bad about the NLA filter and gasket. That seems like two very silly items to be NLA. Hopefully someone else decides to make them

Re: Momo steering wheel mounting ring really required?

It looks very nice there Bobbo. I'm no expert on Momo's or any other aftermarket wheels as I don't have any. I suppose there could possibly be a worry that the removed ring is there for strength? But I don't think thats the case. I think its a smart fix .

Re: Can anyone identify the brand of these wheels?

Very nice wheels, I have a set of those in the original gold. I bought mine years ago for I think $200. I thought I got a great deal until I had them checked and they were all badly bent on the back lips. All out of round. So they sit waiting till I decide to spend big $$$ to have them all fixed and...

Song, Great to read your progress on the car. Amazing how much you've done to it. Also very impressed with your solder reflow work. I feel like you must have solved this. Fingers crossed for you. I'm interested in your mention of the IAC and adjusting it to idle higher? I didn't know ( or forgot ) t...

Re: E12 530i frt brakes

Rick, I have some calipers in storage that I'll have to hunt up. My car is a 77 530i but as far as I know the info your after would apply to any e12 based car. Not some of the smaller euro stuff but anything we have here, 530i, 528i, 630i , 633. I'll try to find those soon

Re: '88 635CSi Clutch engagement

Thanks, that helps, I'm going to replace all the pedal bushings on both the M635 and the e28 M5. Separately, that 635 I was interested in is from a friend, so I'm going to help him pull the tranny, and swap that fork lever pivot pin. We may separately bleed out the master. I'll try to report back w...

Maybe the clutch just need to be bleed ? There always seems to be some one posting about problems when bleeding. I recently installed new clutch, slave , mater etc. I bleed the system a few times and it it seemed fine. I drove for a while and wasn't real happy with the pedal feel. One more long blee...

Good questions here. As far as I know the valves are ok with unleaded. I've never seen anything posted that says otherwise. ive seen a few people who have rebuilt M90s and there was no mention of special valves. LPI? Propane?? No idea on that I used the same torque number etc when I did my m90 head....

What part number are you using. I have taken apart sport and comfort seat hinges and I don't remember them being the same at all. Since the sport seat seat base is built into the the seat/hinge I'd be surprised if they were the same. But I've been wrong more than a few times on here and publicly hum...
