Whiskydry - thanks for the idea, I popped out and bought some dedicated contact cleaner and have spent a good hour removing and cleaning all connects and anything looking little grubby. Alas I put the cluster back together and have just tried it back in the car and nothing :-( Any further ideas guys?

Poking round her back end I noticed the drop links were perished and the bushes although not too bad had seen better days, thinking the fronts would be a similar case I ordered up new front &...

To bring this to an end, as we know E24/28 front ARB bushes are still available from BMW, the rears are not BUT E36 15mm rear anti-roll bar bushes fit perfectly! Fitted them up the other evening.

I hope that's of some help :-)

Just a bit of a follow up on this, the BMW parts guys had got his knickers in a muddle and the fronts ARE available from the dealers! Its the rears that are NLA! Its a pain in the backside as I'd found that e46 rear anti roll bars are 19mm and use the same carrier as the e24 so therefore woul...

Random connector ound in boot (trunk) help identifying pls

Guys, While working in the boot of my UK 628 I found this connector floating around, it was found of the left of the boot, with a tail of about 18 inches before winding into the loom for the rear lights etc... Anyone any ideas? Thank you http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v85/tincorner/20150221_11124...

Its the only picture I've got at the moment, I was hoping someone might know without a detailed picture, they are the ignitions modules.

I was wondering if they are meant to be located on the inner strut tower :-?
