The Guibo was NOT fine. :mrgreen: So I replaced that along with the center support bearing, and it no longer sounded like someone was trying to get out from underneath the car. BTW the arrows on the guibo point alternately to each face of the guibo. Match them up to the driveline part you're bolting...

The Guibo looks just fine. I have to guess it's either the center support bearing or the u-joint (driveshaft) otherwise.

It's running! Things are much nice than I expected underneath all the mossy grime.

I have a 1985 635CSi and a 1986 535i each with pacific blue interior.

I used to spend a lot more time on Vermont's craigslist and I am rather certain the seller has been trying to sell this car for a few years. With those same photos. Who knows what exactly the car looks like now.
