Make sure you buy from a reputable electronics supplier such as Mouser, RS Components, or Element 14 etc. There are many "knock offs" around on Ebay and such of disputable quality.

Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin

After repeatedly asking an Ebay supplier if their hose was a continuous length, I received 5 x 1m lengths :roll: Asked for a refund and got it. Went with another supplier for a roll of 20m so see what eventuates here. The hose you need is currently manufactured by Cohline in Germany, and has an ID o...

Re: 1982 633CSI - Engine Locked up from sitting

I have a line on an S38 locally. It's out of an E34... Does anyone know of a build thread? Not sure what's involved in terms of wiring and the computer. E34 harness and computer are included though!!! We'll see how this all progresses. Why yes Sir. Here's one I prepared before ;) http://bigcoupe.co...

When posting a reply, look down to the "Attachments" tab. There you can upload appropriately sized images.

Fan heater blower working in high speed only is a well known problem with the transistor and relatively easy fix. Do a search as there's plenty of references.

Re: Sacramento/Foothills E24 M6 restoration

Hi arenchild and welcome. I can't help with shops in Kali but would be interested in photos or details of your project, having done the same myself. I did not have the original E34 M5 intake manifold system so had a custom carbon fibre unit manufactured. You can find details of my project in the LOC...

Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin

Last couple of days I rectified the non reading coolant temperature dash gauge. The problem was that the BMW mechanic had installed the S38 B36 sender and this was obviously the wrong range to the dash gauge. They had also wired it wrong. I obtained an FAE M30 sender from FCP Euro (once again those ...

Engine oil temperature

Been taking LOCUTUS for some longer drives of late and having a blast I must say :) The ambient temperature has been in the 38 to 40 degree C range here and on the last trip I noticed that engine oil temperature (as measured by the Roland digital dash gauge) got up to 125 degrees C. Does this seem t...

Re: Help with hot running m88

The auxiliary fan is on when;

1) Coolant temperature normal speed switch (91 C) is closed or;
2) Coolant temperature high speed switch (99 C) is closed or;
3) A/C evaporator temperature regulator energises the K1 normal speed relay.
