Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin
My apologies I haven't been around here for a long time. I still have the car and planning further works when I build my house and large shed in the hills. To answer the above question the A/C compressor is a Sanden SD7h15. You would need to find a reputable source to avoid cheap Chinese.

There is no issue with that, though it is always good to fix the original problem.

Re: Ex LOCUTUS the fun and pain begin
Hey no worries Bobbo ! Haven't updated here in a while as progress has been patchy. I did re-install the A/C evaporator and whoo boy, what a biatch of a job. Got it eventually though and now on to the A/C specialist to make up some hoses, purge and re-gas. I've also just ordered the K-Mac rear cambe...

Re: Mysterious non start problem
What I just can't fathom is why a jump from a running vehicle works and a jump from a jumper box designed to start cars or a monster of a 900 CCA truck battery do not even cause the starter to move or the solenoid to click. Baffling. What could be the difference? Electricity is electricity. In all ...

Re: Auxiliary fan resistor
Jay it won't make any difference running the fan in hi speed only. Perhaps noisier if anything. If you're in doubt regarding wire sizing, just go with the 10 AWG.

As stated, the thread is 8 years old. You're not going to do much good. Better to post a new thread in the Car and Parts wanted section.

Re: Driveline upgrade M635csi
Nice Gaz ! I prefer the 3.07 behind my dogleg and S38B36 as she has plenty low down torque and very quick top end :) Looking to also correct rear camber since the suspension upgrades, just need to sort out how best to do it.

Re: location of ABS fuse M635
Are your rear brake lights working ? If so, the fuse is good so most likely not a fuse. The ABS hydraulic unit and control unit are not fused. Is the ABS function working ? Wasn't there a whole thread on BC about ABS ?

Those resistances look fine. Remember though that your ignition system is high voltage, so using a mere multi meter may not show up insulation breakdown. If in doubt, replace them.

Check valves are on all windscreen washing systems. Otherwise the water would drain back out of the tubing to the reservoir.

Re: 1985 635CSi - Crank, no start problem
The OBC can be coded with a number you enter as a security feature. You enter the number which drives the OBC relay closed to operate the main relay. The relay box is just a relay box.

No worries ! Just throwing this out there; Are you sure the OBC and relay unit is not just doing its job ? That is, is it coded off ?

Was the new seal an OEM or OE item ? Are you sure the installation was done correctly ? No aspersions, just that it's easy to stuff up this job. (Ask me how).
Edit. Sorry was this gearbox or diff ? I was referring to diff. If gearbox ignore me :)

Re: auto/5sp swap final drive ratio recomendation
Depends on your driving requirements and vehicle specs. As I have 265/5 dog leg and S38B36 , and love highway/country driving, I chose to stay with the OEM 3.07. Loooooong legs
