Re: Completely confused as to why my engine isn't running right

Other tests to throw in to the mix;

1) Make sure you have continuous 12v at pin 18 of the ECU.Check for ignition power at pin 35.
2) Check operation of injectors with a noid light.

Re: Completely confused as to why my engine isn't running right

You can test the switching action of the ECU with a test light on to terminal 1 of the coil. Test for continuity between coil terminal 1 and ECU terminal 1. Make sure the shielding of this wire is in place and effectively grounded at one end.

Is the idea of that lift to enable tall jack stands to be placed ? By itself seems like it would make access to many underside parts hard.

Re: Adding a battery charger connection inside the fuel filler door

Running the 13.8v leads into the boot and shutting it will provide no risk, even if you drive off. The Cteks are well protected. Far less risk than installing inside the fuel flap.

Re: Gonna be gone for a while

Hang in there mate. My father goes in for testing (for recurrence) tomorrow so hoping it is all gone. One very important thing to note here is that they caught this early. They caught it early because my father happened to mention to my mother that he saw a small amount of blood in his urine. Mum ma...

Re: Larger Sway bar advice

I went with the IE sway bars on LOCUTUS. Needed to do some minor bracket welding to get the correct fit but no biggy. Have not run the car yet. Which reminds me, I have to crack on with my project, D'Oh. :-({|=

I went to order from Amazon Rob, but their usual exorbitant international shipping fees made me delete the order. I'll check out Book Depository.

Wishing you the very best Ken. As I mentioned before, my father had it. The series of treatments appear to have killed it and he won't have to have his bladder removed.

Beautiful job. I can however, understand the position of AAA. Whilst they are hauling your perfectly driveable car, they might not be able to assist someone in real need.

Re: Walbro In Tank Pump

Odd that you are "blowing a relay" and not the fuse ? What is the relay rated to (current) ? What current draw is the Walbro pump ? Also, you should check your fuel pump fuse for correct rating.

Re: M635csi #508 SOLD

Something to do with the crank hub IIRC.

To think, I almost bought that car for GBP17K. Only the idiotic Australian import laws (it was 1 month newer than the Jan '89 import rule) prevented the sale
