engine compartment stickers/decals

Hi all-I'm about to replace some of the worn out stickers/decals under the hood. My question is this: what to use to remove the old glue/stickum from the old decals?

Ok, I'll chime in. This wont go over well with the purists, but I like my Boyd Coddington wheels.

Advice on fluid change

Hi all-been awhile since I've posted on BC. The latest improvement that's been made on my "shark" is getting the odometer fixed. It shows 206,699 today, but who knows what the actual mileage is. Probably more like 250K. The engine is a replacement with unknown mileage. It's time for a flui...

Re: weird acting temp. gauge.

Thanks to all for their input. Since my electrical expertise is zero, I took it to my BMW mechanic and here's what he found. The ground strap from the battery was severed, which was causing the weird temp gauge and also the fuel gauge. He replaced the negative battery cable. The other problem I had ...

Re: weird acting temp. gauge.

the temp indicator light has not come on, and if there was air in the cooling system, why does the gauge needle come back into the normal range when i step on the gas? logic would say the needle would be pegged 100% of the time.

weird acting temp. gauge.

It's been awhile since i posted anything on "big coupe". Glad to report that I finally got my window working again. Now I have another weird problem. When I start the car up, everything is normal for about a minute or so, and then the temp. gauge needle shoots right up past the red mark. w...

Re: need driver side window motor

Are you sure it isn't the switch or fuse? :-k After checking the fuse, you can change the switches around to find if it is or isn't the switch. Be extra careful when pulling the switch from it's seat. The lower cover might dislodge allowing the wires to fall out. Then you'll have to figure out wher...

emblems

I cant believe that this issue hasn't come before. I have holes in my trunk lid that held little V-shaped grommets. I ordered some new emblems from BavAuto and they were just like the old ones. I figured the grommets would be easy to replace. the old ones were painted over and really old, so i remov...
