Re: Anybody have experience with M20s?
The M20 is just as durable as an M30 except for one thing, the timing BELT. Make sure it's got less than 4 years/60,000 miles on it. Breaking a timing belt on an M20 at speed is a guarantee that you'll spend a boatload of money repairing the head and probably the pistons. At least your '89 version ...

160hp m20 in a 3500lb Automatic e34... yep it's slow. That's why they only came to the US for 2 years. only buy m30,s38, m50 or m60b40 e34s..... no m20 or m60b30 :( First time learning about the M20s. Should've done my research. Oh wells. Regardless, it's a great car for the price. It will b...

Hello all, I know it's not an e34 site, but I figured that your guy's knowledge will help me out. I purchased a 89' 525i (auto) last weekend. It's a great & comfortable car to drive, but man, this car feels slooooooooow. Maybe I'm used to my e92 335i (N55) even then, my mk5 jetta feels slightly ...

I bought an extra OBC because my old one's buttons were a little worn.. But it got me thinking that I really want to convert the OBC to a capacitive touch screen and use it as an info center that will work with my standalone.. I have been talking to a few people and it turns out I'll probably need ...

At least it looks like it isn't rusty like most of the early cars. UPDATE. Found the car in LA for sale.. Was marked up to 5k. I ended driving the car before the sale. Waaaaaaaay too much for the car. I believe the lowest the dealer went was 1,300 for the car which I think it was more than fair for...

I’m new to the forum and not sure where to post this (or even if it’s appropriate), but I’ll throw it out there and see if it needs to move. I recently bought a 1988 M6, but it’s clear across the country from me and I need to pick it up. Bought it from John Bennett of Hubbard’s German Auto in Eurek...

Quickest M6 sale on Facebook
Not sure how many people saw this on Facebook, but this morning (Wednesday, December 26th 2018) on facebook in the E24 page a guy posted a 1987 m6. At least it looks like it isn't rusty like most of the early cars. I will try to go check it out myself. I found this one on copart. Looks pretty good, water flood damage but not rust showing. the paint looks pristine. i wonder if someone from here had the car. https://www.copart.com/lot/52951458

You can see the e32/e34 v8 brake booster mounted in front of the fenders in that car. Note no detailed pictures of the engine bay. The non hydro boost power steering reservoir sticking up at an angle too. And the oil pan should be fine. Definitely, that's what we figured. I actually ended up findin...
